“Why ?“ Thane asks, with his voice quacking while he speaks.

He gently gasps, his breath falling against my face. I feel his quivering skin, his hands tremble in sight, shaking against his weight, right before he draws himself up, rising.

My goes static. I sit firmly, unmoved like a soulless figure, staring into the whitened screen. My eyes scroll through those words over and over, making sure it's mine, and with time, I know for certain, there's no escaping.

“How ?“ I ask, lifting my voice slightly above a whisper.

I hear his footsteps stop. The slow stride of Thane's feet coming to an end, the moment I get to ask that. Unable to meet his eyes, I let mine sink down. It draws below, counting the keys of his board, as a moment of mental escape.

“Seriously, is that your question ?“ Thane asks, a hint of sadness clinging to his voice.

I shift my lips, ready to defend the course of my actions, but my will fails me. I crumble, I'm wholesome guilt, letting my lips fall, and shutting close,

A yelp lifts up my breath, at the sight of the storm. Trickles of rain gladden my window blend, it trickles down, waving patterns through its trail.Shifting in my hands, I enclose myself further, pushing my jacket in. I wrap myself in, enclosing left spaces in its crack. The day sits at its peak, yet the sun fades within the tick, shading clouds. Flashes raudung through the sky, with rumbling fuelling through the sky, darkness fills every corner outside, shutting the brightened day inside.I do wonder if my emotions are the same. A racking through my mind, screams letting themselves off, with forces undeterred. I am one bag of hopeless emotions. Raving through the cords of the past, I don't seem to let go, even though I intend doing so.“We were just crazy teenagers” I try comforting every minute my thoughts stride towards him. Certainly he had things out of his control, but that doesn't stop the hurting. My being seem driven through a cocoon of

It's not everyday one comes face to face with his past. That memory that aches so bad, that you forget it, laying it off your heart, and kicking it right into the curb. You do it for peace, for solace which threatened not to come.“No, I can't. It shouldn't. I won't” I refuse to believe the truth I see, rising off, with my hands placed over, against my chest. What cruel joke does fate wish to play on me, what sick pain is this, it wants to drive right in. I sure had made peace with it all, why does it bring back the scale of time.“Kelvin, Kelvin” Thane calls softly, while rising towards me.He clamps onto my face, with his red-hot eyes piercing into mine. He holds me, while I sob, trying not to remember what I've lost.“Tell me it's not you” I plead, simply trying to hold on, as my legs wobble, weakened by the sting in my chest. “Tell me! ““I can't. Ani, I can't” he voice breaks while he speaks. A large exhale, pouring out on m

My nerves fade into deep comfort, as my shoulder blades fall, feeling the cold influx cover me. The bliss of flowing water wraps me up, streaming through my body, sinking past my pores.Hearing the door squirm over, a smile fades in, as his footsteps fade away. His consistent check in, and rush, keeps fuelling me up, bobbling my countenance. A whole lot of me, yet stands in disbelief. I could have sworn I'd never have a thing for my boss, but my code gets broken, by the third person I get to work with. That one trunk load of a mess, a mess I'm glad to bear.“Kelvin hurry up, your meal is getting cold” Thane calls out.“I'm almost done” I reply, shutting off the shower.I hear his steps leave, with the door closing off behind him. Before I'm out, he's off, my brain missing a kiss, which should have been, if he was a minute late from leaving. My lips smack, regardless of the time, I'd still get something soon. Thinking of it, makes me squir

“Thane wait” I call out, watching him stand. He blows past me, the wind crossing over, as he storms off, walking out on me.The tides take a turn. From something good, to shame, and now, a gross fright that sinks in, hearing him slam the door rashly. My heart quivers while I sink back in. Hissing out, I know I never said the wrong things, but rightly so, knew it wouldn't sit well with him.“Give him sometime dear” Samuel says, sinking back in. “He'd be fine” he assumes.Nodding, I wish to accept, it will get there. But if I could, I'd rather take my words back, making a run for it, when their eyes had caught me onto a hard place.“So what's your job description ?“ Samuel questions, while gliding through his phone. He wears a nonchalant look, having no care his best friend has stormed off, visibly annoyed, certainly crashing out.“I'm his personal assistant” I reply, slumping back into the sofa.My stoma

“Kelvin” Thane gently calls out.His voice smears through my ears, sinking into my brain, like a soft whistling wind. I hear his steps move in, the draw further, but my gaze reluctantly remains still, looking onto what I'm dealing with.“Kelvin” he becomes a little bit stern, still dragging through his whispers.I sigh, rising up, lifting myself off the bed. Pulling my pants up, his presence lingers, his breath close by, as his scent sinks into my breath.“It is not as it seems” he says for the millionth time.A breath falls off, laying out my weariness. My mind is currently a barren ground of thoughts and fears, and I have no strength for much more than I already have going on.“I shouldn't be the one getting an explanation” I reply, placing on my shirt. “I think your boyfriend downstairs should be the one having it” I note, finally letting my eyes lift up towards him.Thane wears a disgruntled look. A scrawny face, wor
