"How much do you charge for a night?" he asked her, slinging his hands forward, he walked closer to her. He had no idea how things worked there, he wanted to know more about it.
"Hmm," she drawled, thinking of the perfect amount to call out. She didn't want to sound greedy but the man in front of her smelled of money. She had to make use of this opportunity before it slipped off her hands. "A thousand dollars for a night," the words left her mouth, and she sighed. Praying that he would not walk away from her for being too greedy.
He said nothing, she fiddled with her fingers. "I can make it eight hundred dollars. Note that I will treat you well," she looked at the man in glasses again.
He said nothing, still looking at her through the rim of the dark lenses. "You know what? Pay me five hundred."
He didn't utter a word, he watched her slash the price by herself until she finally stopped at three hundred dollars.
"Three hundred?" He asked and she quickly nodded her head.
"Yes, I will take that."
"I mean three hundred thousand dollars, I will pay you three hundred thousand dollars if only you will do what I want."
Emery blinked her eyes, she stuck a finger into her ear to be sure she heard him right. Three hundred thousand dollars? That would pay Amery's surgical fees and change their lives forever.
"Is there something more that I need to do?" She didn't believe he was going to pay three hundred thousand just to get her pussy screwed. There must be something more.
"Come with me if you trust that I won't kill you." He ordered, walking out of the hallway before she could ask him more questions.
She had ambiguous thoughts about this strange man, she didn't even know who he was. She tried to move but her legs didn't carry her, she had to do it. Or just follow him to know more about his offer. She hoped it wasn't something ominous. She walked after him, mad that he thought of her as cheap. He didn't even wait to check if she would come with him or not, he was walking away knowing she would follow behind like a puppet who was hungry for a rich man's money.
"Get in," he ordered again when they got to where his jeep was parked in the parking lot.
She shook her head. She might need money so desperately but she won't sell herself out so cheaply. She needed to ask where he was taking her.
"Where are we going?" She asked him.
"My house," he held the handle of the car and opened the door. He sat in, waiting for her to make up her mind whether to go with him or stay back. "You can stay back if you don't trust me." He slammed the door shut.
"Three hundred thousand dollars," Emery whispered. That's not cheap money one could easily come by. "I will go with you." She said, hopping into the car before he started the engine.
Neither of them said a word to each other as he drove down to his house. It was late, Emery feared she was doing something wrong. Different thoughts muddied up her mind. What if the man was a serial killer? What if he was an organ harvester? So many 'What ifs' and she started regretting her choice of agreeing to go with him.
She thought of her twin sister in the hospital. What would be her fate if this strange man killed her? She peeked over her shoulder to have a glimpse of him. The glasses were off his face, the side of his face looked handsome but she couldn't see clearly. She cussed at herself, she didn't even know the face of the man who would later kill her. She would surely die a painful death, she rested her back on the seat and thought of how he would bury her body after he killed her. Would he bury her in a shallow grave? Butcher her body and sell her organs! She widened her eyes at the thought and screamed out loud.
"No, no. Please stop the car, I don't want to go anymore." She cried out.
"What…" He slowed down. "What's wrong with you?" He halted the car, wondering why she had screamed out so loud.
"I was wrong to come with you. Please I don't want to die, I have a sister to take care of and I am out tonight because of her. Please don't kill me." She begged him.
His brows furrowed in confusion, he didn't know where she got the idea that he would kill her.
"Relax, I won't hurt you." He said in a reserved tone. "I am Benhail Gunther." He reached for the drawer in the car, pulled it open, and picked a card from inside. "Here is my card, you can text my details to your people. Let them know you are with me, they can come to find me if anything happens to you tonight." He assured her that she was in safe hands.
She took the card from him with shaky hands, glanced through it, and turned back to him. "Benhail Gunther, CEO Gunther winery." She read out.
"Yes, you don't have to panic." He said, kicking the car back to life.
"Hmm," she hurriedly brought out her phone and texted his details to Lola, adding that she would explain everything that happened to her later.
She felt a little bit relieved but still alert to know how she would attack him if he tried anything funny.
A few minutes after driving, they arrived in front of a gigantic mansion.
Benhail drove into the mansion and parked the car among the fleet of cars in his garage. He looked at her and nudged his head before stepping out of the car. Emery followed behind him, taking every step that he took as they meandered from the garage to the large surrounding that screamed wealth. Even in those dim lights that illuminated the outside, she could see how gigantic the house was.
She clutched her tiny purse as they walked into the house, he got to the foyer and was welcomed in by Agnes, his maid who collected his suit blazer and hung it on the rail. "Welcome sir," she greeted him.
"Welcome," he let out a small smile, telling Agnes off.
"Sit," he gestured to the couch behind her.
Emery did as instructed. She had a soft feel on the couch, she loved how silky it was. She looked around the living room. Everything around was money from the couches to the large artistic paintings that were attached to the walls. He must have a thing for arts, she thought.
Her eyes swiftly scanned the living room, she was assured he was loaded. Nothing about the house was cheap, even the paintings on the wall were sparkling. The living room beamed with bright white lights from the chandeliers of different sizes. She was still admiring his house when he cleared his throat to attract her attention.
"Do you want the maid to serve you something?" He asked her, sitting on the couch next to her. He crossed his legs and heaved a sigh.
"No," she shook her head. She could see his full form now. Damn! The man in front of her looked very handsome and sexy. He had a well-sculpted body, and slightly muscled arms and from the look on his face, one could figure he lived a stress-free life.
"Why did you bring me to your house?" She asked. She blinked her eyes, the question was wrong. If he wanted to screw her, he would take her to his house or a hotel. "I mean, why did you offer me such a huge amount of money?" She corrected herself.
His jaw clenched, and his eyes pierced into hers. "What's your name?" He asked her, in that voice that always leaves wetness between her legs. She wondered if he had that effect on every lady he met or if she was just hyped because she had already imagined what losing her virginity tonight would be like.
She smiled, it wouldn't be a bad idea if she lost her virginity to a man as cute as this man in front of her.
"Emery," she responded after her thoughts almost drowned her.
"Emery," he bobbed his head. "I need a baby." He uttered, still staring at her. He had never seen a thick girl that elegant. He wasn't sure if he liked girls with flesh but after seeing Emery bump into him in the hallway, he had had a change of mind about the kind of ladies he wanted. She was thick, and he imagined how cute his baby would be if Emery birthed him or her.
"A baby?" She stared at him, shock written all over her face. Did anyone tell him that she sold babies? What the hell was he talking about? "I don't own a baby factory." She retorted, chuckling dryly.
Benhail let out a light giggle. "I know that but I want you to carry my baby. Can you do that?" He asked, secretly praying she would not refuse his offer. He had personally gone to the club to pick out the kind of woman he wanted to carry his child. He knew they were sluts but he was hoping he could get one with at least some decency, one who was reasonable enough. He was ready to pay her, all she needed to do was just carry the pregnancy for nine months, and let him do whatever he wanted to do to her body. Just be with him for a year and leave after that.
"I don't understand where you are coming from," Emery said.
"I want a woman who can carry my child for nine months and stay to breastfeed the baby three months after delivery after which I will give the baby to a nanny to take care of." He made his point clearer.
"Crazy," Emery chuckled. People are crazy, she thought. "What happens to the woman after birthing the child and breastfeeding him or her for three months?" She inquired.
"Pay her off," Benhail answered. "I will pay her off, she can't come back for the child because we will sign an agreement."
"I am sorry I can't do that," she clutched her purse with her hands. "No woman would do that. Just give birth to a child and leave the child alone because of money?" She shook her head. "
"I will pay you well, double the amount." He offered when she was about to stand up and leave the house.
"I can't do this, sorry." She straightened out off the couch. "I can't be a surrogate mother." She finalized. "I will leave now."
"Emery," he got up and followed after her. He couldn't force her but he could persuade her. His days were short, he needed to act fast before something happened to him. "In what condition will you do this?" He asked her.
"There is no condition," she said firmly. "Can you drop me back where you picked me?" She asked him.
"I will let you think about it. You still have my card with you. Call me if you change your mind." He said, "Come with me." He ordered as he walked out of the living room.
She wondered what was going on in that head of his as she trotted behind him. They got into the car and he asked where she was heading, she gave him her address.
He dropped her at home a few minutes later. Without saying a word, he sped out of her house after she got out of the car.
Emery walked into the house to her sister lying helplessly on the floor. "Amy," she called her, slowly she lowered her hands and shut her eyes, her breathing ceased and that was it.
"Please, hold on, Amery. Don't die on me." Emery yelled out. "I swear, I was out to find the money for your surgery." She bent her head to feel her pulse, she was breathing faintly. "God, what do I do?" She pulled her phone out of her bag to call an ambulance.Emery panicked as she watched her twin sister lie lifelessly on the floor; she had lost more weight than she remembered, her hands were so fragile and her skin so pale. Emery sobbed, praying that her sister would not die before the ambulance arrived.A few minutes later, the ambulance arrived, picked them and headed to the hospital. They got to the hospital and Amery was rushed into the emergency ward. Emery had to stay back at the reception while the doctors and nurses treated her sister. She prayed, hoped, and wished. After about three hours, one of the doctors came out. He walked to where Emery was kneeling and called her to his office. She was dead scared as she walked behind the Doctor like a zombie."Doctor, please what ha
Emery was strutting around the hospital's gate, with her tote bag swirling in her hands. She veered around to see a car approaching her, she waited for the car to come to a halt. The driver opened the door and stepped out.Striding towards her, she recognized him. He was the man from last night, Benhail! Her subconscious screamed as he pulled out his phone to dial her number."I am here," she shrieked, wriggling her hand in the air. "You don't have to call me." Benhail bounced his head when he sighted her, "Good morning," his voice was deeper and even sexier than last night. It took all the resilience in her to stop her knees from getting too weak and drooping at his feet."Morning," she stretched out her hand to shake him as a form of deference but he looked at her small palms and did nothing. "Oh that, my palm just likes to stretch out like this. You know?" She demonstrated, concealing her chagrin."Are you ready to go?" Benhail queried."Oh sure, yes I am." She nodded her head in
Emery scoured the bar for her best friend. She finally saw her attending to a customer at the bar counter; her large hazel eyes squinting as she schmoozed with the customer in front of her, she served him a glass of wine and shoved him away with her hands. Emery smiled, she slung her bag over her shoulder and ambled across the front bar to get to Lola. "Hey, can I have a glass of wine?" Emery requested, mounting on the barstool, she giggled, patiently waiting for Lola to lift her head to see her. "Er… What kind of wine do you—?" Lola halted when she saw Emery. "Fuck you, Emery. Where have you been all these years?" She asked boisterously. She hurried to get Emery off the chair, she dragged her to the hallway, jabbing her head, she heaved her on the stool. "Hey, you are just going to calm down, okay?" Emery knew she was mad at her. "No, don't tell me that. You've been off for days and you expect me to calm down? Where the heck have you been, man?" Lola stood arms akimbo, waiting fo
"Meet me at Rocky restaurant at eight, wear a nice dress. Benhail." Emery read out the text that popped up on her screen a few seconds ago. She looked at her sister who was sleeping on the hospital bed and sighed. Thinking through it, she knew she just had to go.She went to the Doctor's office to plead that someone should come to stay with her sister in the ward. The Doctor assured her that Amery would be fine, they'd given her sedatives that would last until midnight. With the assurance that her sister was good, she left the hospital. As she rambled the streets of Texas in the cold night, she made a mental note of all the questions she would be asking Benhail tonight.Firstly, this date or whatever he called her out for wasn't stated in the contract and she didn't understand why he would call her out at that hour of the night. She stopped a cab, gave her house address to the cabman, and hopped in. Clutching her coat tightly to her body, she stared out the window and let the breeze
The incandescent morning sun impaled the window blinds, forming rays above Amery's head as she sat on her bed. Her back was resting on the wall, her countenance was gloomy, and she looked so nervous. It was finally the day of her surgery and she felt she might not make it."Did the Doctor say that I will live? I am so scared, I don't want to die now, Emery." Amery clenched her twin sister's fingers tightly, rubbing her hands on them, she held back a tear from falling. "Why do I feel like it's time for me to die?""Hey, don't say those words. You are not dying now, Doctor Ryan assured me that you will be fine once the tumors are removed." Emery crouched on the bed and hugged her sister. "There is nothing to worry about, you will be fine.""That's what you say all the time, why do I feel you're lying to me?" The tears fell and Emery didn't let go. She caressed her back, trying her best to reassure her that everything will be alright."I won't lie to you about things like this," Emery mu
The tall gate that shielded Benhail's mansion slid open, he drove into the garage and put the car to a halt. Emery swallowed hard in her seat, they gazed at each other at about the same time, both not saying a word. "Welcome to my house," Benhail's voice broke the silence between them. "I have been here before," she said. "Yes, but not to stay. Now, you are here to stay." His words caused a bone in her to jerk. She winced and turned away from him. "The maid will help you with your things, just come with me and I will show you to our room." "Our room?" Her jaw dropped in surprise. "Are we going to share a room?" She asked. "Yes, we are sharing my room. Is there a problem with that?" His eyes furrowed in confusion. "I mean, I don't know. It's good, there is no problem with that." She swallowed hard. There was a problem with that, everything was wrong with that. She kneaded the back of her head and huffed softly. "Let's go." "I was about to," Benhail opened the door, and Emery did
Benhail fumbled with the files that were stacked on his desk, he got hold of one of them and slid it out of the pile. Flipping through the pages, he stopped at one. He glanced carefully at it and turned to face Mariana, his secretary. "What are the complaints you got from the people at the winery?" He asked her. "We have a problem," Mariana shifted on the chair, she placed her hands on her jaw and looked at Benhail. "There has been a very high demand for our blue wine over the months," she peeked through the file on the table. "Yes, I know that. So, how is it a problem?" He asked, urging her to speak up. "We've successfully delivered within and outside Texas and now the problem is," she sighed and clasped her hands together, rubbing her itching eyes, she pulled out her nerd-like glasses. "We are running out of sweetener for that particular wine, the manager called last night to inform me of the shortage in sweetener." She dropped, wearing her glasses back, she adjusted them so they
It's been two days since she moved into the house and it's been good so far and maybe not as much of a nightmare as she presumed. She wondered why he hadn't asked her for sex yet, but whatever the reason was, she knew it was ephemeral. They would melt the ice and start with the deal they'd already sealed. Emery just ended the call with Lola, she was curled up on the bed and scrolling through pictures on her phone when Benhail walked in, he was dressed in white shorts and a white shirt that clung tightly to his body. He sat on the bed and got busy with his phone for a while. Emery was nervous as he sat on the bed, they didn't talk much and she had tried to respect all the rules he had laid down for her. She's been very tidy, cleaning up the bedroom herself, making sure she was in her space and she was getting used to Benhail telling the robotic Ben to open and close the door for her. "It's been two days, are you ready now?" His voice rang in her ears. She dropped the phone in her h
