Georgina's POV

This is the third and final day of the annual meeting. While Cole is in the meeting hall, I’m here, sneaking around the back of the pack house. I’m about to meet Layla—the woman who approached me the other day with her bold claims and schemes.

The dim garden cottage hummed with tension as Georgina inched forward, her piercing eyes fixated on Layla's. The space between them snapped with unspoken ill will.

"We both know Bella is standing in our path. She's too powerful, too… inviolate," Georgina sneered.

"Powerful, indeed, but not invincible. If she were, Rick would not be wedded to her. He's mine, not that perfect little Luna," Layla replied.

"Precisely. Which is why we must hit her where it would hurt the most—her wolf. Without that, she's nothing but a weak human acting like she's powerful." Georgina nodded.

Layla leaning forward

"And how exactly do you plan on doing that?"

Georgina extracted a small vial from under her cloak. Her voice turned into a whisper.

  • Twice Fated   Chapter 19: The Luna Queen is in Danger

Layla's POVThe scheme had gone wonderfully so far. Bella had never suspected a thing. By the time she fainted, her wolfsbane-weakened body slumping backward onto the floor, I was already posted outside her room, ready to move.I slipped through the rear hallways of the pack house, dodging the busy omegas and warriors still attending to guests. The meeting hall was filled with the hum of voices, alphas and their entourages in hushed discussion. No one would miss Luna's absence, at least not yet. When I opened the door to Bella's room, I found her collapsed on the floor, her face ashen, her breathing weak. A sadistic smile spread onto my lips. Just perfect.I hastened to her, scooping her up under her arms and pulling her towards the rear exit. She was heavier than I had anticipated, her loose body making it cumbersome, but I pushed on, adrenaline driving me. The door behind the packhouse creaked softly open to reveal the idling car. Georgina was already waiting beside it, her gaze dartin

  • Twice Fated   Chapter 17: Luna Queens Vision

Bella's POVThere was thunderous applause in the hall. I raised my head, a smile of confidence spreading across my face as I stepped onto the stage to take Rick's side. Everyone's eyes were on me, admiration and awe evident in their faces. In this instant, I was the focus of everyone's attention.Rick reached for my hand, holding it firmly as he addressed the audience. His deep voice resonated through the hall. "Ladies and gentlemen, it is my great honor to introduce my Luna Queen, Bella. She is not only my partner in life but also the head and CEO of our new business venture. And, more importantly, she is the visionary behind the proposed sports center."Rick passed me the microphone, his eyes warm and supportive. I took a breath, calming my nerves before I began to speak. "Thank you, all. Sports facilities can create real positive change in our community. They encourage physical activity and health, enhance mental well-being, and create opportunities for community building. This proje

Bella's POV I asked Rick’s permission to head back to our room before him. As I made my way out, I suddenly remembered I had left my purse in the room upstairs, the one where I had changed earlier. Deciding it was better to retrieve it now, I headed upstairs before making my way to the pack house beside the meeting hall. When I reached the room, the door burst open with a loud crash.I spun around, startled. “Cole? What are you doing here? ” I gasped. Before I could process what was happening, his large hands grabbed my waist, spinning me around and pressing me hard against the dressing table. My back hit the edge of the counter with a dull thud.“Cole, stop...” I started, but before I could cry out, his hot lips crashed onto mine. The kiss was violent, desperate, like he was trying to pour out every emotion he’d buried deep inside. I struggled against him, my hands pushing at his chest, but he grabbed my wrists roughly, pinning them behind my back. His tongue forced its way into my mouth

When I saw Bella approaching the stage with Alpha King Rick and the two children we had met earlier in the garden, my heart almost stopped. I couldn't believe it. She's alive.I glanced over at my husband, Cole, and his expression was a mirror of my shock. Jealousy seared within me as Alpha King Rick presented Bella as his wife. She's so fortunate. The Alpha King is the most attractive man here at this yearly gathering—strong, rich, and authoritative. I couldn't understand how she managed to get him or why they even met. After dinner, dinner was served. The meal was delicious, but I hardly had a bite. My hunger fled, eclipsed by the storm of emotions raging in my chest. Frustration. Jealousy. Anger. I shoved the plate aside and made a quick exit.I stepped outside and cursed under my breath. "Bella…" Her name was bitter on my lips. I needed some fresh air, room to think. My feet walked me to the garden, where the night breeze chilled nothing about my furious mind.I pulled my phone from m

In the meeting room, following the meeting, dinner was served. Rick walked from table to table, conversing with different alphas. His authoritative presence was impossible to ignore as he chatted throughout the room.I saw Cole from afar staring at me and my children with a serious and unflinching gaze. Sensing his eyes on us, I turned to the nannies and gently told them, "Please take the kids to their room in the mansion. They've already eaten. Just remain there with them for tonight."I smiled warmly at my children, waving to reassure them. "No stories tonight, okay?" I kissed each of them softly on the forehead. They nodded, and I saw them leave the hall with the nannies. As I looked around the room, I spotted Georgina making her way to the door. Automatically, I decided to tail her. But before I could act, Alpha Edgar of the Crimson Petals Pack came up to me."Can I join you, Luna?" he inquired with a captivating smile.I hesitated because I didn't know if I should be dining with anyon

  • Twice Fated   Chapter 13: Annual Meeting

Bella's POVThis is the inaugural day of the three-day yearly conference. This high-profile conference brings the Alphas, Lunas, and Betas of all the packs together. As I got ready for the day, I mind-connected the children's nannies, Jenny and Delly, and told them to dress up the children and take them to the conference hall. Rick is going to officially introduce them tonight, and I wanted to make it perfect. Two days earlier, I had painstakingly picked their attire. Edsel and Gian would share the same attire as their father—a well-fitted black suit. The meeting hall, located just beside the mansion, is already filling with guests. The building is grand, with a second floor and several rooms reserved for the Alphas and Lunas to stay during the event. I’m in one of these rooms now, preparing for the night. My faithful, ever-reliable maid, Mary, assisted me into my backless silver gown. The material molded itself to my curves like the light of the moon, molding my figure perfectly. A bejewe

  • Twice Fated   Chapter 12: Trip to the Riverbed Pack

Finally, after driving almost six hours, we arrived at the River Bed Pack. Instead of turning into the city, our car took us into a gigantic white mansion sitting on a hill in the middle of nowhere. The house, situated halfway up a hill, was decadent beyond description with sweeping vistas of sunsets and city lights. The moment I got out of the car, I heard children's laughter and playful cries. In the garden, the young boys were playing and running with two nannies keeping guard over them. The older boy tossed a ball, and it rolled to Georgina's feet by accident. She yelled at the children, scaring them. The older boy moved instantly in front of his younger brother, guarding him protectively. "We're terribly sorry," he said, his tone firm but contrite. "We didn't intend to hurt you."I jumped in before Georgina could speak, "She's not hurt. She's only surprised and afraid the ball will mess up her dress." Georgina snarled but remained silent. That's when I noticed the boy's face. Somethi

  • Twice Fated   Chapter 11: Cole's POV

As I sat down in my office leather chair, my thoughts had returned to what transpired five years ago, and a storm of emotions churned within. Bella's eyes taunted me, pleading, tear-filled eyes that implored me to trust her innocence. She had promised she wasn't being unfaithful, yet something about the whole episode didn't ring true. In my innermost core, I couldn't help but have an inkling that there was more to the story than what I was told.I settled back in my chair, closed my eyes, and concentrated, extending through the mind-link to my beta, Robert. "I need you to report to my office. There's something we need to talk about.Robert came promptly, as always. Not losing any time, I issued him his instructions. "I want you to locate and bring Bella in," I instructed, my tone icy and stern. "Put her in the dungeon. It's time we had some answers." Robert scowled, uncertainty reflected in his eyes. "Alpha, are you certain about this? Shouldn't we—Do as I say, Robert," I interrupted hi
