Amelia's eyes met her father's,she could sense the vulnerability in his voice and her heart broke.In truth, Drake had been nice to her recently but she was still skeptical if it was going to last forever.

The door opened and Drake walked in, Amelia felt her next word caught up in her throat,too hard to swallow,she wondered desperately if he had overheard their conversation but his next action dissuaded her doubt.

“Mr Dinkins,Mrs Dinkins,a pleasant afternoon to you.” He said with a pleasant smile.

“Oh dear! Call me Helena.” Her mother responded happily.

Graham didn't look convinced, he wore an unreadable expression on his face making him appear more intimidating than necessary but Drake wasn't the least bit affected, afterall,he had transacted business with more domineering personalities.

“My mother just made lunch, would you like to join us?”
