Drake Harris adjusted in his seat, it looked like a scene from his favourite soap opera was being displayed, all other guests too were baffled by Amelia`s declaration.

Amelia didn’t waste more time trying to rethink her steps she gave in to her impulsiveness, she detached her ball skirt from the outfit leaving the strapless skimpy gown which perfectly hugged her curvy hips, there were gasps from the audience and her groom was about to lose his mind. She collected the microphone from the priest .

"That was quite uncomfortable, I mean the dress", she laughed at her own silly joke and continued.

"Good day ladies and gentlemen, all protocols duly observed, I am annulling my wedding today because my groom turned out to be sleeping with my bridesmaid and she is carrying his child".

Drake scoffed practically out of amusement, so was diverse reactions from the guests

"I am sorry we had to put you through the trouble of showing up as I had my worst nightmare last night in reality," her voice quavered.

For a minute she looked vulnerable as she looked at the expression of about seven hundred guests at the party, for a minute her eyes settled on Drake`s and she looked away.

Leonard was shamefaced but he tried to hide it, while trying to deny his murkiness.

Unfortunately the picture evidence Amelia provided proved otherwise, they were very intimate ones, he got on his knees and apologized vigorously.

Jennifer could not contain her shame as she trotted out of the wedding hall.

Amelia looked over at her parents and her mother was sobbing uncontrollably so was her sister, but the disappointment and fury in her father's eyes melted her mettle.

Her sham marriage has been quashed but the backlash on her family's integrity gave her cold feet. She hastily walked out of the hall into the changing room and manned the door.

Pandemonium broke loose as each of the guests and reporters had their own version of the story to analyze, The guests made their way out exiting the hall in multitudes.

Drake had had his fill too all appreciation to the dramatic bride, he made his way to the hall`s exit while Mr Smith trotted behind him carrying the gigantic wedding gift that he couldn’t present to the couple.

Drake was about to open his Rolls Royce when a familiar smell hit his nostrils, that unique cologne he had smelt when the bride walked in earlier.

He hastily opened his car and pepper inside, his eyes widened as he saw a lady scrunching down draped in nun’s attire.

"Give me one reason why I should not rat you out?" he threatened Amelia, his countenance was cold.

She adjusted herself and looked up at him, the sadness in her eyes touched his seemingly impenetrable heart and he looked away instantly.

"Save me please,” she begged humbly

"And what do I get in return?" He frankly inquired in his business like tone

"Anything you want, I promise," she desperately pleaded as the paparazzi were closing in on them, she could not bear to face her family or the media just yet, she needed to escape

Drake was a cunning man, he knew in business you always have the upper hand at the expense of your opponent`s desperation.

He sat in the car beside her, and ordered his butler to zoom off , when they got out of reach of the reporters she removed her disguise and sat upright heaved a sigh of relief.

She had switched off her phone after dropping a sentence message for her sister, ”I need some time alone”

Drake looked over at her, she looked nothing like the provocative bride who just brutally annulled her own wedding now that she was all covered up and had gotten rid of that red lipstick

She looked more conservative and beautiful. He had to hold back his lustful desire to take her right there in that car.

Amelia Dinkins had been lost in thought, she had ruined her family`s integrity to get back at two cheaters, she felt low, she despised herself.

To worsen her plight she just gave her words to this charming stranger, what if he demands for her life?

She was jolted out of her deep thoughts when he tapped her

"Do you have any destination in mind?" he calmly asked her

She wanted to go to the sea and play in the sand but her common sense knew she was not on a date. She turned abruptly to face him, the ringing sound of reality in her head kept reminding her that the storm is not over yet.

"No, take me anywhere I would not be seen by the media or my family, "she responded unsure of her own voice

Drake instructed his butler to drive to Crescent lounge owned by him, he made a call to his personal assistant to clear his schedule for the rest of the day.

He had something important to gain from his niceness to her she deduced.

Amelia was no fool, she knew this man was too busy to babysit her, so immediately they alighted from the car and she asked him what he wanted with a thumping sound in her chest.

Drake looked over at her, her bravery still amuses him, most females in her shoes would have cried throughout the ride but she didn’t, she was holding up really well despite how her face carried a deep hurt from the betrayal, she truly is a Dinkins, that family has a lot of stamina in them.

"I want you to convince your sister Maya to model our latest lingerie brand at `Infinity clothier` at a f*e we were offering her, " he blurted out unsure if the timing was right

Amelia at that moment found out his identity, they called him “Infinity Demon Widower” in the business world

Drake was well known to be brutal in negotiations, Maya had refused his offer for about five times but he never gave up,

He knew her voluptuous body and poster friendly face will raise the odds of their product acceptance in the market.

"I will do your bidding but I have a condition too," she blurted

"Spill it, "he responded impatiently

"I need an escapism, sleep with me," she offered bluntly.

“Your in-laws’ mansion is impressive,” Charlotte noted, her eyes roamed around the room. A suitable place for a discussion, if not a refuge.”“It’s the only place you won’t feel entitled to sit in,” Amelia shot back, the words laced with annoyance. “You have no right to be here. Say what you came to say, and then leave.”Charlotte smiled, a cold, elegant gesture that didn’t involve her eyes. “I came for two reasons, Amelia. First, to eliminate the noise. Edward Crane will not bother you again. He is an amateur playing a professional’s game, and he just crossed a boundary I cannot tolerate. I will make sure he is apprehended, permanently. Consider it a guarantee. The threat ends now.”Amelia scoffed loudly, and suddenly Charlotte felt the urge to protect her after finding out that she was her daughter.“Weren’t you working with Edward Crane before?” She said challengingly.“I wasn’t! I was indifferent towards his charade with your Inlaw’s but now, I am going to protect what is mine.”T

“What!” Charlotte screamed behind them. The single word sliced through the funerary quiet, an intrusion far louder than any sob.Graham froze, the color draining from his face not in fear, but in the sickening certainty that his carefully constructed world had finally dissolved. He turned around, pulling Amelia with him. The movement was jerky, betraying the panic his eyes refused to show.Charlotte Duke stood in the marble archway, the black dress suddenly seeming less like mourning attire and more like a uniform of war. Her eyes, usually cool and calculating, were alight with a terrifying intensity. They settled instantly on Graham, bypassing Amelia entirely, seeing him only as the architect of her decade of pain.“Switched? My daughter?” Charlotte advanced slowly, each step echoing the hollow clang of inevitability. She didn’t look at Amelia for confirmation; Amelia’s words had been enough. She looked at Graham, demanding a confession only he could give.Helena emerged from the roo

Leonard felt his legs wobble for sitting down on a spot for way too long. One look at his wrist watch he cussed inwardly. One of the hotel attendants moved toward him with a charming smile on her face. Her dimples sticking out give her a striking resemblance to one of Leonard’s celebrity crushes.“Hello Mr, what can we offer you?”Leonard smiled warmly at her. His eyes ravaged through her perfect face and stunning curves. He couldn’t find his voice immediately as her beauty intimidated him but it didn’t last long before the magical moment ended when Jennifer rushed over to the table.“You can leave us now, he is here for me.” She said to the attendant as she approached. The lady looked over at Leonard and walked out without another word. Jennifer sat in the chair opposite Leonard. Her expression hardened despite the flawless makeup on her face, she still didn’t look attractive to Leonard except her banging body which was the real reason why he lost his relationship with Amelia.“I can

“Why would you want to betray your son?”Freaking bastard! Mr Potter thought inwardly as he pulled out a cigar and lightened it up. The memory of Drake’s question haunted him. He noticed that there was one person in that family that almost didn’t fall for his trick.Even Charlotte Duke that had been in the underworld for such a long time still fell flat for his trickery. There was still a few weeks before the shareholder meeting at Infinity Clothier, all he needed was to tame that freaking family till then.A knock sounded at the door and one of his bodyguards walked in. He used sign language to describe something to him and Mr Potter responded swiftly,“Let him in.”Before he finished his statement, the door opened wide with a loud creaking noise and a tall figure stood in the doorway.“For a split second, I thought you sold me out…father.”“That’s rude Edward, you are blocking the free flow of air in my room.”Edward Crane took two steps towards Mr Potter.
