Chapter 13

Jason comes up behind me and circles his arms around my waist and pulls me back to him. I glance at him over my right shoulder and my grin becomes bigger and my laughter I'm trying to control because my sides are starting to hurt.

He helps stop my laughter as he kisses me on the lips. By the time he pulls away several breathless minutes later. He smiles at me as he places his hand on my bulge in my belly and rubs it gently since I've been feeling nauseous for the last week or so. I smile up at him as I lay the back of my head on his chest as he gently kisses me on the soft, fleshy spot just behind my ear.

Frankie grabs the whipped cream I made and puts it in the fridge as Shel puts the sweet potatoes and the cornbread in the oven.
