Damion’s POV

A week had passed, and it was time for the presentation.

The investors were already in the conference room, waiting for the showcase of our best designs.

I stayed in the office trying to keep my heart settled. But I didn't know what was more difficult; assuring myself the designs are perfect or walking to the conference room where my guests were seated patiently.

“They are waiting for you. Come on already,” Logan said, bursting into my office. “I am running out of excuses and so is their patience.”

I had taken the excuse of having to use the restroom so I could use the restroom for a bit. It was a lie. I had been seated in my chair for the past five minutes in deep thought.

“You think I don't know that?” I snapped.

“Then what is it?”

“I don't think we are going to win them over. It's a shame that we had this great chance and somehow managed to make a mess of ourselves,” I groaned.
