Chapter 10

I walked into the bedroom to check on Mike, I had left him fast asleep in my bed; hopefully he had gotten some much needed rest. He had hit the shower while I threw his clothes in the wash and acquired new ones. Jay begrudgingly handed me over some jeans and a plain t-shirt, just so he had something to wear until we could go get more. We weren't about to head to Red River today, I didn't think either of us could take that mind fuck.

    I sat down on the side of the bed, careful not to disturb him and studied his features again. He truly was a sight to behold. His red hair was poking out every which way, and it gave him a childlike appearance; his relaxed features only brought into sharp focus the angles in his face.
