LACHLAN

I marched through the white corridors, my thoughts skipping to the night Jeremiah had dragged that man into the dungeons. The memory was a raw thing — Jeremiah’s face split by rage, the blood on his hands, the screams — how far he’d gone before anyone could drag him back from the bloodlust he had descended into.

By the time I had managed to pull him back the damage was done and Giorgio Sicilian had succumbed to his injuries, turned into a corpse onky kept alive by the machines.

I could still see it in flashes and the hospital lights made the images sharper. How Jeremiah had broken down after. How he had lost himself in drunken haze. How he had been nothing but a living shell without getting to know what had cost him twelve years of his life. It had gone on for weeks, I was losing him until I had reminded him that we needed to find her. The woman who had been the reason Jeremiah had been unable to cut ties with the Italian arsehole. Innessa. Now, our Nina.

And now when ever

NINA The grainy road in the middle of nowhere stretched into nothing but dark woods and silence until suddenly… large yellow and orange glow broke through the tree line. “No.” I heard the horror filled whisper from my side. And when I turned to look at Jeremiah, I found his face pale and eyes dark like he had seen a ghost. “Jeremiah?” He didn’t hear me. And I doubted he was even present as the car stopped suddenly, making me lurch in my seat. And if the skidding sound on the gravel behind us was any indication, the other cars also pulled on their breaks abruptly so they won’t slam into ours. “Jeremiah?” I tried again, but he just opened his side of the car door and stepped out, seeming to be in a daze, staring wide eyed at the fire swallowing the small house. I looked at the mobile, at the red dot, and swallowed. Lachlan was here. Fuck. I stepped out too, hearing the guards filing out from behind. When I rounded the car and came to Jeremiah, he was grippin

  • Twisted Marriage (A Dark MMF Mafia Romance)   Flashback: Will you share me with him?

Flashback #9 JEREMIAH Innessa stood in the middle of the forest, her foot moving back and forth in an impatient gesture, disrupting the dried leaves on the forest floor. I watched her from ten feet away, hidden behind dense bushes. I had been doing so for last ten minutes. Enough time that even my little shadow got impatient and texted me to do it. But I wanted to savor it. It has been a week since I had her sign the contract. A contract where she promised her first born to me. A week and a day since I fucked her throat while she slept and while Lachlan watched me do so. And then later, he had sucked me off again. After that night, the last seven days, I had given her a glimpse of what it will mean to give me an heir. What it will mean to be mine. I’ve had her on her knees more than I could count. I had licked her and made her come on my face more than I’d ever done in my entire life and that included the time she slept. And then I had kissed Lachlan with the same mou

NINA Jeremiah was bristling with untamed rage, and if it were the beginning of when I had first come here, I wouldn’t have recognized the other emotion that peeked through his fury. But I could see it now, because beneath that fury was an emotion that made my stomach clench. It was the same one I was feeling. It was fear. It flickered, raw and unhidden, in his dark grey eyes as he marched out of the house. I chased after him, heart hammering, my breath choppy in the night air. The danger I had always lived in had disappeared since I came to live here. In this place, the only danger I feared was my husband, but even now that wasn’t there much, leaving only want and unresolved feelings and my hunger for memories that would allow me to understand this enigma of a man. And the only other time I had felt something close to that fear in which I used to live was when someone has shot at me. But now something similar to terror was creeping around my heart, pressing into my skin like i

LACHLAN “First, give me your gun.” For the first time, I turned to look at the person sitting beside me on the backseat and stared at her, barely paying attention to the locks engaging. As the car sped down the road, my whole focus was on the woman with black veil hiding her face. And she was pressing a gun to my side. My fingers tightened around my own weapon. But I didn’t get the chance to use it as the man in the driver seat said, “Don’t try anything funny or I’ll just blow this whole car up with just a push from my finger.” He held up a small remote. “Who are you?” I growled. The woman laughed, the sound scratchy and uncomfortable to ears. “All in good time, Lachlan. Why don’t you take a nap?” Something pierced the side of my neck, and everything turned dark. . I came to with a jerk. My mouth felt like it was stuffed with cotton, my whole body felt heavy and my mind disoriented. For a few seconds I couldn’t tell which way was up as darkness pressed onto me

  • Twisted Marriage (A Dark MMF Mafia Romance)   161. I won't be gentle

NINA “Nina.” There was a warning in that single word which I ignored. “This?” I pressed another kiss. The smallest sound caught in his throat, and for the first time, I felt the weight of his restraint cracking. Not gone. Not yet. But cracking. “Tell me, husband. You call me your wife in front of the whole world. But will you ever really treat me like one?” My question hung in the air between us. And in that thin line between distance and surrender, I swore the ground shifted. Because when he didn't answer, I took a step further into the madness that called me where my husband was concerned. I dared. I licked his hot skin. “What about this?” He stiffened. The silence broke, not with words but with the sheer violence of how his body reacted. His breath rushed out, his muscles bunched, like he was holding himself together with both hands. I should have pulled back. I should have respected the line he drew. But I couldn’t. Even if I had tried, it was
