Chapter 03

I was hell embarrassed. He must be thinking that What stupid this Girl is!

"Wear the spectacles. It will help you to see clearly." He pointed at my spectacles which were hung sideways in my jean's pocket.

I took them out and placed them on my eyes.

" He-he, You are right," I chuckled nervously.

Oh, God!

I had faced enough embarrassment for today.

His eyes locked with my spectacle covered eyes for a short moment. He moved his eyes from mine so did I.

He pushed my luggage bag towards me and ducked his free hand inside his pocket like another hand.

" Go Inside," he said coldly and leave from there. I was still standing there looking at his retreating back which soon emerged in the crowd of other students.

" I couldn't even thank him," I muttered to myself with a sigh.

I entered the Dean's office and reported my presence as the newbie in the college under the scholarship scheme.

I greeted him politely and after completing my information details he gave me my schedule.

I exited the office and went towards my dorm.

I hope this time I get it correct and got puzzled like earlier.

I had a map now which was given to me along with the schedule. It would be easier for me now to found the places.

I reached the dorm by following the way as illustrated on the map.

Bravo!

Finally, I succeeded.

I patted myself mentally.

"Good Job, Savi "!

I get my keys for the room from the dorm in charge. I was given room No. 302.

Aghhhh!

This Room No. 302 isn't leaving me since morning. First 302 was the office and now the dorm room.

I reached upstairs and unlocked the room with the help of a room key. As the door opened I was welcomed by the loud noise of hip hop music. A girl was crazily dancing on the beats of the song. She was singing on her full volume which was enough to make me deaf.

" Can you please keep the volume low?" I said with a loud voice but she still couldn't hear it.

Her back was facing me and she was busy doing her crazy dance steps and singing imperfect lyrics.

Seeing no other way to stop her, I turned off the music player. She turned towards me with her hands on her hips sideways.

Her eyebrows scrunched together in confusion as well as in frustration.

"How dare you to turn off my music, crazy girl!" she said while pinching the bridge of her nose.

I thought she was not as a sweet girl as she seems.

"Hey, I am Savannah." I tried to introduce myself.

She remains quiet.

" I am your new roommate," I speak further.

She was still quiet standing on the bed.

She jumped from the bed and stood in front of me.

" You are my roommate?" she questioned me.

"I am," I said meekly.

" Woo-hoo " She exclaimed loudly and hugged me tightly.

Damn! She was choking me.

I started to cough hysterically and she freed me from her hug instantly.

" Are you okay?" she said and rubbed my back to soothe me.

"I am fine," I said while controlling my coughing.

My cough gets stopped after a moment. Her face seemed to be relieved.

" I am sorry. I get over-excited sometimes," she said and bite her tongue a bit with a tooth.

"It's okay. I am Savannah bydway," I forward my hand to her for a shake.

She grabbed my hand for a shake exuberantly.

" I am Skyler. You can call me Sky," she said with a huge grin on her face.

" You can call me Savi," I said to her.

" No." She refused in one go.

" Why?" I asked her feeling a bit disastrous.

She looked at my sad face and pinched my cheeks a bit.

"I will call you baby girl. You look like a cute baby," she said with an adorable pout.

Baby Girl!

Was it a compliment or remark on my personality?

I was confused.

" Hey! Don't think that I am calling you baby girl as a remark. I mean it, You looked like an adorable newborn," she said with a genuine smile on her face.

"Thanks," I said to her feeling a bit happy.

It's for the first time that I get a compliment from someone regarding my looks.

" Okay. So enough of our introduction now. Feel like home here." She opened her both arms and indicate towards the room.

I nodded my head in response with a smile.

I kept my luggage bag aside and drew out my backpack from my arm. I looked around the room. It was quite spacious and cosy. All the stuff were neatly arranged in their place.

I removed my shoes first and sat on my bed which was free. One bed was occupied by Skyler already.

I closed my eyes and took some deep breathing to calm my nerve which was completely stressed out because of the hectic day I had today.

" Want some water?" I opened my eyes when I heard Skyler's voice. She was standing beside me with a bottle of water in her hands.

My throat was already dried. I took the bottle of water from her hand and gulped it down in one go.

I muttered a thank you to her after quenching my thirst.

Skyler looked at me with raised eyebrows.

" Are you fine, baby girl?" she asked me with a worried expression on her face.

"I am fine, Skyler. I didn't have water from the morning," I said while closing the cap of the bottle.

She huffed. " I told you earlier. Call me Sky. I like to hear Sky from my closed ones," she said with a fit of fake anger on her face.

" Closed one?" I asked her.

From When We become Close one. We just met a while ago.

"Yes, baby girl. We are closed one. We will become closed one as we have to spend three years in this college with each other and as roommates," she said excitedly and sat beside me.

Sky and her enthusiasm were of different levels.
