Chapter 80

HAZEL

I wake up feeling weak, my body heavy and my head throbbing with pain. It's been days since I fell ill, and despite all the efforts of the healer and my loved ones, I still feel no better. If anything, the sickness seems to be getting worse with each passing moment.

“Good morning, Hazel.” Ethan's voice breaks through the haze of pain as he enters the room, his face etched with concern.

I manage a weak smile, trying to push aside the overwhelming fatigue that weighs me down.

“Morning, Ethan.” I reply, my voice barely above a whisper. “Any news?”

He shakes his head, his expression grim.

“I'm afraid not.” He says, his voice heavy with worry. "The healer has tried everything, but nothing seems to be working. I don't know what else to do."

I feel a surge of frustration coursing through me, the helplessness of my situation weighing heavily on my shoulders.

"I just want to feel better," I whisper, tears pricking at the corners of my eyes. "I don't want to be stuck like this
