“Hello, Ms. Elena Swan. I am Ira Blossom” said a beautiful blonde girl while standing next to Luke.

‘She is a bit too close to be just a pack member, she must be a close friend’ I thought while looking at the almost invisible distance between the two.

Alice, on the other hand, moved away from her in the fraction of seconds and stood next to me making it obvious that she doesn’t like her that much.

Even the real late bloomer, Lily also observed that.

She smiled at Luke who didn’t show any emotion on his handsome face.

He then turned towards me with his signature expressionless face.

“She is the daughter of my father’s beta” Luke said coldly without even glancing at her.

“Pardon me. Let me introduce myself again. Hello, my name is Ira Blossom, daughter of Beta, Ethan Blossom. It’s an honor to meet you, Ms. Elena Swan, the future Luna” Ira corrected in a more elegant form but anyone could tell that she was a bit hurt by their cold behavior.

I don’t blame her. I mean who wouldn’t be hurt by such behavior.

“No need to be so formal, Ira. Just call me Elena” I replied with a casual smile.

“Oh, Okay” replied Ira with a shy smile.

“And this is my best friend, Lily irritating Williams” I said pointing towards Lily.

“Thank you for kind words, Miss. Swan. Really appreciated!” said Lily with a sarcastic smile.

“Glad you liked it!” I replied with a wide grin.

“Nice to meet you, Miss. Williams” said Ira elegantly.

“As El said, ‘No need to be formal’. Just call me Lily. Very nice to meet you too” replied Lily in a polite tone.

After meeting Ira, a series of thoughts and questions started popping up in my head,

‘Why was she being so formal? And why did he introduce her like that? What kind of problem, a sweetheart like Alice could have with her? The way she smiled and stood comfortably next to him, they must be friends. But who introduced their friends like that? How Rude!

I mean Lily is also my father’s Beta’s daughter but I never introduced her as one. She was always my best friend for me even in introduction with the other clans. Why all of them are so formal? He even introduced his best friend, Nicholas, as his Beta.

‘I like Alice the best!’ I thought smiling at Alice.

All of a sudden, Ira’s gentle voice dragged me out of my trains of thoughts,

“You have a very nice place” Ira replied smiling while observing the place.

“Thank you. Did you like your room?” I asked politely.

“Didn’t get to see it yet” She replied looking down with shy smile.

“Oh! No problem, Lily will show you your room” I said giving sign to Lily but she was not ready to leave Luke’s side.

“Move Lily and come to my room right after it” I said giving her the look which clearly said, ‘I am not taking no for an answer’

“Alright, your highness” she replied looking at me with narrowed eyes and a fake broad smile showing her pearl white teeth.

‘Which toothpaste she uses again?’

“Please come to this side” She said smiling politely at Ira.

Ira looked briefly at Alice then Luke, none of them were paying attention towards her. She then looked at me and I gave her a small smile. After smiling back at me, she left with Lily.

“I will get some water for you” I said and stormed downstairs to the kitchen without giving a millisecond to Smith sibling for questioning me.

During Midnight in Elena’s room,

 “Knock Knock” said Lily while knocking on my door.

“Who’s there?” I asked in a straight voice even when I already knew who it was.

“The secret keeper” said Lily with a small chuckle.

“Come inside then” I replied casually and she opened the door while giggling.

“I told you to meet me right after you show Ira her room, it is past midnight” I said while folding my hands to my chest and giving her judgy looks.

“I know, your highness, but I was busy helping lost people showing their room. I tried to sneak million times but one or the other guest caught me” said Lily in frustration.

“Looks like someone had a tiring day” I said while adjusting the pillow and sitting comfortably on my bed.

“You have no idea! They are behaving like they are lost in a deserted island! I am tired of showing those people their rooms and fake smiling at everyone. My jaw hurts” said Lily while holding her chin in annoyance.

“Same here. Mine also hurts” I said massaging my own jawline.

“So, why did you come inside so soon?” asked Lily in an investigative tone.

“I wasn’t feeling quite well” I lied looking away from her.

A clear white lie! It was written on my face.

“Oh really?” asked Lily while raising her left eyebrow.

“That Ira girl is sweet” I said trying to change the topic.

“Yeah. She is too sweet to be true! Everything she says is perfectly coated with sugar, honey and maple syrup. She is a damn weird one” said Lily in an irritated tone.

Lily just hate fake people. She is like a people detector. She is ‘LILY detector’ who detects fake people.

“Stop doubting everyone from their pack. I know we can’t trust them all yet, but we shouldn’t make it obvious” I replied in a calm tone.

“I only like Alice and Luke. They seem real” said Lily after thinking for a small while.

“I also like Alice the best but I couldn’t say the same about the latter” I said without showing much expression on my face.

“And why is that? Are you not the best judge of the characters?” asked Lily knowing my abilities for the same area as hers.

That’s why we are best friends. We judge people together!

“I don’t know yet” I said in a serious tone.

It wasn’t a complete lie as I just met him for the first time, I don’t know him entirely yet.

“Shall we stop beating around the bushes and come to the point?” She asked in a demanding tone.

“What do you mean? I don’t understand!” I asked in an innocent tone like I am the most pure person to walk on planet.

‘I am an angel!’

“I am not three year old anymore, Elena!” said Lily narrowing her eyes at me.

“Oh, so finally you realized! Congratulations!” I shouted while clapping my hands like a child who has seen Santa Claus in front of her.

“Not enough to make me forget the topic. So again, why were you so uncomfortable earlier? What really happened, Elena?” asked Lily in worried tone.

“Nothing much! I just found out that Luke is my mate” I spoke in a casual tone.

“Okay, then no problem. I thought something extremely bad happened to…” she said with relieving expressions but stopped in the middle of her statement, when her unpunctual mind finally decided to translate my sentence to her.

“Wait a minute! WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?”
