Chapter 100

Kellan walked into the room without saying a single word to me. The door slammed shut behind him, loudly, making me jump a little where I sat on the edge of the bed. He didn’t even glance in my direction. He just walked straight past me, like I wasn’t seated on the bed and headed into the bathroom.

I heard the door to the bathroom close, not slammed this time, but hard enough for me to know that he was upset. Then the sound of running water filled the room. He had gone in to take a bath, and I sat up straight with my body stiff like I couldn’t move.

My hands were shaking a little in my lap, and my mind was racing with different thoughts. I knew Kellan was angry and I didn’t need anyone to tell me that. I could feel it in the air. I could see it in his face when he walked in, the way his jaw was tight, the way he tightened his fists, his brows drawn together, and his eyes were cold. He didn’t even look at me and that was when I knew that he was very angry.
