I let out a loud scream as I was dragged out of the bed with so much force. My hands flew straight to my belly to protect it as I hit the ground hard. My body ached instantly, and my heart raced as I looked up quickly to see who had done it and when I saw the person, my whole body froze. It was Kaden.

He looked furious. His eyes were dark and wild, and I could feel the anger rolling off him like heat. I stood up quickly, probably because of the shock. My legs shook beneath me, but I stayed on my feet.

What was he doing here? How did he even get into this room? No one was supposed to know I was here. How did he find me?

I didn’t say a word. I couldn’t. I just stared at him, fear filling every part of me. My breath got stuck in my throat.

“So this is where you’ve been hiding all this time, huh?” He said coldly, walking slowly toward me.
