Two different worlds

Padgett POV

The sound of that annoying alarm is the one thing I hate to hear every morning but the truth is, I am stuck with it. 

"This bloody alarm, can't it just stop working for once" I scream then press the button just to make it mute.

"Padgett, you should get off the bed, you wouldn't want to be late on your first day in school."

"Come on Mom, it's too early to label me a latecomer" I could hear my mom smirk then footsteps followed. Dragging myself out of bed, was all I always did, each morning, I never got used to that thing called early to bed; early to rise. 

Quickly taking my bath, blushing my hair, I know I have to be in yet another short gown, not like I like wearing anything short, but the truth is, I am growing taller every day and mom doesn't have the luxury of changing my wears every time, so I just lie that I like them short, it looks good on me. 

"Come here, sweethearts! You are looking reddish like some fresh tomatoes." 

"Mommy! Can you stop?" 

"Don't blame me, I want to stop but this daughter of mine drives me nuts with her beauty and it got me wondering how many boys are on your tail." Hearing those last parts of her words, makes my heart race, I don't just know the reason, Cameron's face keeps appearing in my eyes when boys, relationships, crushes, and love are being mentioned. 

"You don't want me to go late to school, do you?" I try changing the talk, I don't want to go through that this morning. 

"Fine! I give up, you should eat, so I drop you off before reporting at the clinic, remember it's my first day at the city clinic." 

"Never mind, I could find my way, I am not a baby."

"But you are my baby?" 

"Mrs Ryan?" She raised her hands in surrender, she knew whenever I called her that, it simply meant I didn't want the conversation to continue. 

"Here, I will let you find your way..." 

"Sound better!" I pulled the tea to my lips, and just when I was about to sip from it, her voice came up again to remind me of the one person, I wanted to forget about. 

"Padgett! Did you know that, Cameron is in the same school as you?" 

"What?" I yelled bursting out the tea before I could even take it down to my throat. 

"Hey, easy dear! You should be careful and try to contact him, you wouldn't want to give him the shock of his life, after going MIA for three years, it will not be fair for you two to meet in school like some..."

"That's enough, I better go." I dragged my bag, moved it on my shoulder, placed a soft peck on my mother's neck then off I went, I could hear her giddy with my silly act. 

She is all that I have, the one woman who had worked so hard just to make sure, I have a bright future, this is the least I could do for her, transfer to a new school because she got a new job, for the past three years, this is all we do, move from one place to another because she is a nurse. Even if I had to always leave my friends behind, I wanted to make her happy, I realized she was struggling to always foot my bills, so I decided to apply for a scholarship, fortunately for me, I got one, Into the prestigious high school of country A. But the truth is, I couldn't say, I am fortunate, it happens to be the same school where my number one crush is, Cameron Adrian, my childhood friend, the son of my mother's ex-boss, the city's richest man heir, the one boy, I couldn't stop blushing over, whenever I heard his name but the truth is, he is way out of my league, will he still remember me? If we meet, will I still be his best friend or I am just going to be the girl from his past? He might probably not recognize me.

I let out a loud sigh, as soon as I got to the school gate with the bold signboard. "Welcome to Royal High College" Here I am, to learn not to think of a boy that might not recognize me. Still lost in my thoughts, I noticed a group of students making their way toward a car that just pulled over at the school car pack. I could hear shouts, accompanied by sweet praises mostly from girls, then the car door flew open, I tried to see what was going on, it was something the eyes would want to behold. Three gorgeous-looking boys were naturally endowed. 

"Oh, mine! They look so hot"

"Holy shit! Alex is hot! I just want to breathe the same air with him."

"Sutton Is hotter than fire, look at those curled hair they are mind-blowing." 

"Fuck! I love Ray." 

"Wait! Where is my one truth love?" 

"Oh no! Don't tell me, he is sick." 

Another shouted, so I just assumed one of the friends was missing, I rolled my eyes at their shamelessness, how could girls be so stupid and shameless? I needed to settle down, so I made my way towards the office of the principal, just taking a step, I could hear a louder scream, probably the hottest of the boys, just when I was about to turn around, my phone rang.

"Oh, mommy! Probably thinking I lost my way." Distracting me from getting a view of the demigod

Cameron POV. 

The morning seems to be the longest for me, I had a heated argument with my dad making me sad, I just went to the cafeteria straight without looking out for my friends, anyway, they knew where to get me but the truth is I wants to be left alone but there goes this naughty supposed girlfriend of mine, smiling all wild making her way towards me. 

"Baby!" She called with her feminine voice, sounding all sweet and nice, flashing me with that sweet smile that look like a bloody vampire in front of me right now, I let out a deep sigh, I am fed up with her. 

Her skinny uniform enhances her perfect figure eight, making some parts of her boobs almost out of her uniform, the truth is, no one could tell her what to do because her father is one of the sponsors of Royal High College. 

She sits so comfortably on my legs and gives me a very tender kiss, for all the girls, I have dated, I will admit, that she kisses really good but her kiss still tastes sour on my lips. We were kissing like mad at the cafeteria, no one dared interrupt except these three idiots I called friends. 

"Hey, man! You shouldn't turned this place into a brothel." I smiled hearing the voice of Ray, my best buddy, my actions were accompanied by pushing Cassie away from my legs. 

"You should go now, I will talk to you later." She adjusts her uniform as she makes her way out of the cafeteria. 

"You are going to get hooked on this one?" 

"Never!" That was my words to Alex, I move my gaze to Sutton, who is staring badly. "I know I am a confirmed playboy, an asshole, so don't give me a lecture." 

"Did you know that, there is a new girl in school?" Ray said, and all three of us eyes fell on him. "Men, she is hot! Hotter than fire. 

But the truth is she wears glasses." Sutton added, causing Cameron to look at Sutton.

"How can you call a four-eye girl beautiful?" Alex added, and a round of laughter went on, for a second, I was mute, lost in my thoughts. 

"Hey, man! What are you thinking about?" Sutton hit me, dragging me from my thoughts. 

"Nothing! Come on let's go to class." 

"I know what he is thinking about; the next girl to get laid, you should get the best award for deflowering girls." 

"The honor is all mine!" An instructor was already in class when we entered, My head was buried on the desk when the principal craved our attention wanting to introduce a new student.
