Emily’s Pov

The ride home was silent.

Neither did it break when the car pulled over by our building complex.

Ava stormed out and I followed, feeling his strong gaze on me.

We were just by our apartment when my phone suddenly rang. I was shocked because it was almost four in the morning and who in their right mind would be calling me.

I brought my phone from my bed and I looked at it….It was Jace.

What the helly?

“Are you coming in?” Ava asked.

I looked at her, “yeah, but give me a minute..”

She shrugged and walked into the apartment. I picked up the call and immediately his soothing voice buzzed through the phone.

“Good morning, princess. ”

“Jace, it's 4am. Why are you calling me?” I asked without missing a beat.

We haven't spoken since the incident at Alex’s house and I wanted to avoid any more drama.

Even trying to forget it by going to the club was not enough. I guess drama follows me everywhere I go.

“Yeah, I know. I wanted to be able to book early since you are always so

Emily’s pov Surprisingly, the ride to the restaurant was fun. We talked, he complimented me,sang along to radio tunes, cursed at drivers and flipped traffic police. It felt like old times, before I knew he was my boss’s enemy. And for whatever reasons, it reminded me of how it used to be with Wesley….before everything came crashing down. The car pulled over in front of La’Grande, one of the most expensive restaurants in the city of New York. The car door was opened, Jace held my hand, as he helped me out.“Wow” I couldn’t help but murmur. It was stunning. The restaurant was buzzing with different dignitaries, I felt small but I shook it off. I was here to have fun, not to wallow in self pity.“Let's go in…” Jace whispered with a smile, obviously proud I was impressed. With our hands entangled together, he led me inside. There was a line which led to three podiums. We stood at the one with the least amount of people. A few seconds later we got to the podium. A girl with black

  • UNBREAK MY HEART   Chapter 41

Emily’s POVThe club was already alive when Ava and I stepped inside, a heartbeat of bass thudding against the walls, strobing lights spilling across the dance floor like restless fireflies.Ava was the one to suggest this, but honestly, I wasn’t sure if I’d made the right choice. Ava had been restless all morning, fidgeting with her phone, glancing toward the hallway like she expected someone to appear. And me? I was just as bad as I was pretending to scroll through social media while fighting the urge to think about Alex.Plus work has been stressful. We’d both said it out loud over coffee that morning— We need a distraction. So here we were, dressed up, faces made up, heels clicking against the sticky floor of a downtown club where anonymity came easy and the music drowned out inconvenient thoughts.Ava leaned in close as we passed a group of guys at the bar, grinning at me. “We’re not going home until we’ve had fun,” she half-shouted over the music.“Deal,” I said, trying to so

Ava’s pov We kissed and it felt like the most magical feeling ever. I felt his hands wrapped around my throat, as he kissed me hard. I let out a moan into his mouth and he used that opportunity to get his tongue deep into my throat. Both our tongues fought for dominance and at the end he won, he sucked my tongue like would for a candy. His other hands were exploring my body and it felt amazing.Every place he touched he left me wanting more. We suddenly pulled apart and we were breathing so loud. Our head was put together with her face only a few inches apart.“We should stop, Ava.” He said in a low tone, his breath raspy and it made me want to pull him back to me and kiss him more till he accepted me. “But ... .Don't you feel this? I want you and I know you also want me, can you stop fighting it?” I asked, almost pleading. He moved apart from me, running his ha

Ezra’s pov I couldn’t sleep. And I refused to accept it was because I couldn’t stop thinking about Ava and her ass in those jeans. “Shit, Ezra, you have to stop, that’s your best friend sister.” I scolded myself but instead of remorse, lust flooded my thoughts. The images of Ava moaning as my dick stroked her pussy, while her sweet juices flowed down my dick. “Fuck….I need a drink.” I stood up from the bed and walked out of my room . I should have never agreed to sleep over. I made my way to the bar which was beside the living room. I needed a drink and a couple of whores. Who knows, I might just be horny. I walked to the bar and I saw a familiar figure sitting there already. Ava. I wanted to turn back and avoid her but she had already seen me, so I guess I had to stand my ground.

  • UNBREAK MY HEART   Chapter 38

EMILY’S POVThe moment Aunt Clarissa’s question left her lips “Alex, why are you not dating her?” my insides froze.I felt my cheeks heat up in embarrassment. Yet somehow, I found myself anticipating his answer. He didn’t. Instead he quickly diverted the conversation, saving the awkwardness. Ava looped her arm with her aunt’s and ushered her toward the dining room, Ezra following behind, leaving me with Alex. He lingered, his eyes on me.“Hey,” he said softly, as if he was testing my mood. “Hi.”He scratched the back of his neck. “Sorry for what my aunt said. She didn’t mean……..”“I know. Why would you of all people date someone like me?” The words slipped out sharper than I intended. I saw his brows draw together, a flicker of confusion in his stormy eyes.“Wait, what does that mean?”“Figure it out. You’re the boss,” I replied, brushing past him, and practically running away. The dining room looked like something out of a glossy magazine—crystal glasses, flickering candles
