I am a stripper. Yeah, I know being a stripper at age 18 is not something one should be proud of.

But believe me, I don't have a choice.

There's is nothing good about my life, it had always been that of thorns and thistles.

I lost my Dad at age 10, He was brutalized and killed by the man he called his friend.

My mother whom I never knew left me for my Dad after giving birth to me.

There has always been one thing that I've been proud of but as unlucky as I had always been, it was taken away from me in one night.

That night I was careless, that night I got drunk.

The following morning I saw kate handling money to my beloved boyfriend and then kissed him.

I felt hurt but decided to confront them.

That was when everything was revealed, Khalid was never really in love with me.

It was all a setup, Kate had asked him to take me to bed and finally, he had succeeded  in taking me to bed. That was why he was paid for a job well done.

That was The night I lost my virginity, the night I lost my fifth boyfriend, the night I've made up my mind never to love again.

All boys are monsters, I hate boys with every fibre of my existence.

I was in my room all day, crying and shattering the stuff around me.

Losing my virginity devastated me. It was as if I died.

Kate was not just my roommate, she was my bosom friend

She alone knows how much I valued my virginity, it was the only thing good about me.

We were both struggling to survive ever since we left the orphanage home.

I and kate are both sponsoring ourselves in high school.

Kate was fortunate to have been working at a hotel, but me being the unlucky one had no other choice than to strip for a survivor.

It's was a Monday morning. I walked into the class and got myself a seat.

Few people were already in the class as we await our first class.

"Look whom we have here." Someone cheered beside me and I turn sideward to see Sonia sneering at me.

Sonia is a typical queen bee, there's nobody who isn't scared of her.

I especially, I’m her big-time prey.

She looked around me as though she was searching for something.

" I didn't see you and Khalid walk into school today." Great, The news has already spread around like Air-bourne.

She leaned forward on my desk. "You know I use to envy you both cause you seem to be lover birds but too bad you are still a dirty whore." She sneered.

"Until when will you get tired??" I muttered avoiding eye contact.

She smirked and pull away from my desk.

"Announcement everyone.." she faced the whole class and fold her hands into a fist as she use them as a microphone.

"Scarlet is single again so girls stick to your bf who knows her next target." And the whole class turn their gaze at me and started hurling insults at me.

I couldn’t get a word they were saying as everything were like noise to my ears.

With my eyes moving around, it landed on a pare of hazel eyes, the same eyes which use to give me hope and comfort but now all could see is hatred. The eyes belongs to Kate, she was sitting at the front roll as she watches me. Something like a smile curved at one corner of her lips. No, she’s smirking at me.

Hurt and anger wrestled inside of me, but I was the victim.

tears started pouring out of my eyes like rain but I was too numb to even cry. I still couldn't believe that my best Friend could hurt me like this.

"Hey those tears are so fake and disgusting whores like you deserve this.." I think I overheard a voice saying to me. everyone started throwing their food at me, some bathing me with their Silava.

This is something I face most of the time, they only stopped when a teacher came to intervene.

But it still won't change anything, as usual, the whole class will be a given a lame punishment while me, I bear the shame of looking and smelling like trash.

I had been displaying at the club dancing and stripping to entice those idiots at the club. I hate this, I hate my life, I hated entertaining those useless men with my body.

After dancing, the stage light went off as usual and l left for my boss's office to get my pay.

I walked out of the club in the middle of the night heading home.

Kate was usually the one who drives me home but now we aren't friends anymore so I've risk trekking home in the dangerous dark.

No cab could be seen at this time, my fate was sealed.

I was now a few blocks to the hostel when someone darted out from nowhere.

A huge figure of a guy stood in front of me. It was so dark so I couldn’t see his face and his hoodie wasn’t giving a helping hand. Conniption gripped me.

"What's a pretty damsel like you doing out late?" He asked seductively eyeing my body.

"None of your business" I summoned courage and walked off but I felt his strong grip clasped around my arm, He yanked me back.

“You don't walk out on me" he growled and started ripping off my dress, his hands dug in my skin as He tried weighing me down with kisses.

I tried struggling but he was too lofty and fierce, he kicked me on my stomach and pushed me to the ground, he started forcing himself on me on the ground.

"Please don't" I begged him cause there will be no point screaming since no one would hear me anyway.

He paid deaf ears and I had no choice but to struggle with him,  he started pouching me in my stomach, face and lips blood was already sprinkling down my face, as I became too weak to struggle.

I bet this Is my fate, I brace myself waiting for him to do whatever he wants with me.

Boom! A gunshot was heard, the bullet pierced into my ribs, I felt the worst pain of my life.

Boom! Another gunshot was head and the guy before me dropped down blood oozing out from his head.

With my sight slightly blurred, I couldn’t see the clear face of the figure standing before me. But with the perfect curves, dress and grooming, I could tell it was a lady.

Maybe an assassin or a serial killer cause her gun was still pointing at me. Maybe this is how I was destined to die, perhaps I’ve missed my family so much, if this is my way of finally going to back to them then I gladly welcome it.

I closed my eyes waiting for another sound of gunshot but instead I heard a soft feminist voice.

"Are you alright?" I slowly opened my eyes, so see pare of dark eyes staring down at me. It was the lady who had shot me, she was squatting beside me now.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to shoot you.." she added, concern lacing in her voice and her eyes were in accordance.

Slowly I became numb, I felt life walking out of me, my eyes shut down.
