ARES' POV

I slumped into my chair across the table the moment we stepped into my study. Jason dropped down on one of the luxury couches like the weight of the world had been sitting on his shoulders—and honestly, it had.

We had just returned from the woods where we were tracking the beasts and rogues, someone must have sent them. We'd hoped to find a lead, a clue, anything that could connect it to the growing attacks. But just like Siege University, the tracks vanished. Erased. No paws print. No blood. Not even a scent trail. It was like the damn thing never existed.

But today, we confirmed two things that twisted my gut.

One—we have a snitch inside Crescent Moon Pack.

Two—a lot more people are involved in this than we first thought.

Before I could let those thoughts settle, the study door swung open, and a flash of bright blonde hair entered the room. Penny. She walked over and plopped herself on Jason’s lap, giggling. If it was before, I'd be angry watching them, but now....

GAVIN'S POVI walked through the dim hallway, the weight of silence pressing heavily around me as I approached the door at the end marked with a VVIP stamp. My footsteps were quiet, each step feeling like I was walking deeper into a nightmare I couldn't wake up from.I paused briefly before the door, casting one more glance over my shoulder, checking the vicinity like a soldier returning from war. I slowly turned the knob and stepped inside. The room looked like every other in the royal quarters—except for the glaring presence of the drip stand by the bed, and the beeping life machine that echoed with each passing second. A painful reminder that life still lingered here... barely. The king-sized bed sat like a throne in the middle of the room. And lying on it, small and unmoving, was my Pookie.Noah.Penny sat quietly beside her, gently stroking her hair as if willing her to wake. Her face was pale, her eyes red and puffy, but she kept her composure as best as she could. I could tell

NOAH'S POVGavin managed to get me to where they parked the car, his voice shaking slightly as he opened the door. "Get in, we need to get you to a nearby hospital," he urged, clearly trying to stay composed. But my eyes remained glued to the building behind us, my heartbeat pounding against my ribcage like a war drum. I could still feel him. My mate. My Ares. Fighting Nathan alone. The memory of the vision I'd had clawed at me like a nightmare refusing to fade."Let's go back inside. I can't leave him!" I cried, my voice cracking, my chest aching not just from the bleeding wound but from fear, from desperation.Gavin’s face twisted in frustration and pain. "You’re only going to make things tougher for him if you refuse to get that wound treated!" He was pleading now, but he already knew. He knew I wouldn’t listen. He’d known me all my life—the reckless one, the one who ran into fires if it meant saving the ones I loved.Something inside me surged, a force deeper than reason, fiercer

  • UNTAMED FATE   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SEVEN

ARES' POVJason turned to me, his brows drawn tightly in concern. "What are we going to do now? we can't wait like this bastard suggested."I clenched my fists, so hard my knuckles cracked. Rage surged in my blood like a hurricane barely kept in check. "They want me... so why don't I grace them with my presence," I ground out, my voice low and deadly. But then....A sharp, searing pain stabbed through my chest like I'd been pierced with a burning blade. I staggered, one hand flying to my chest."Big Wolfie, are you okay?!" "Ares! Talk to us, are you okay?!"Jason and Birdy rushed toward me, panic in their eyes. But I knew this pain—it wasn’t mine.It was Noah’s.My mate. She was hurt. Those bastards.I straightened, barely masking the fury behind my calm facade. I have to be strong for her. The beast in me growled, fangs itching to shred flesh. Whoever touched her… they just signed their death wish.I turned to them, my gaze sharp. "You two stay here. Watch the pack. Look out for any

  • UNTAMED FATE   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND SIX

NOAH'S POVI groaned, irritated and disoriented, as my eyes peeled open slowly. The air around me was damp, thick, and carried the metallic scent of rust and blood. My werewolf vision allowed me to see in the dark, but barely. Shadows swirled like phantoms around the large room, but nothing looked familiar. My head throbbed violently, each pulse pounding like a war drum inside my skull. I tried moving, but I couldn’t. My arms were bound tightly behind me, wrists rubbed raw against coarse rope, and my ankles tied to the legs of the chair. Panic bubbled in my chest as realization slammed into me.Where the hell am I? What happened?Bits of memory flickered behind my eyes. I had met Nathan after Penny left. We were eating. Then dizziness kicked in. I excused myself to the restroom. That’s when it happened—gas hissed through the air vent, thick and suffocating. I barely had time to scream before everything went dark.My stomach turned. "Shit," I whispered.I’ve been kidnapped. My heart ha

  • UNTAMED FATE   CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR

NOAH'S POVI sat down on the cold, bare forest floor, cradling Ares’ head gently on my lap. His chest rose and fell with painful, uneven breaths. A dagger was lodged straight through his heart—a cruel piece of metal that didn’t belong in the strongest man I knew. The woods around us were unfamiliar, eerie, and silent. My hands trembled as I reached for the weapon. The moment my fingers brushed it, a sizzle of pain shot through me. I snatched my hand back and stared in horror. The dagger was coated in wolfsbane—werewolves biggest fear."No..." I whispered, shaking, the panic rising like a tidal wave. "Ares, no. You can't leave me. Please, just keep your eyes open!" My voice cracked as tears blurred my vision. "Someone help!" I screamed into the empty woods, but only the echo of my desperation replied.Ares' eyes fluttered, barely staying open. "I'm sorry I couldn’t live to protect you like I promised," he murmured, his voice thin and broken. "But you have to be strong for the pack... d
