Days passed by, finally it was time for the event, the event however was in three days.

Ari and I decided to go back home.

She's gone home already, I would round up with work and go back to Oakland.

We could meet at the event, where she'd introduce me to her brother.

I myself was going to introduce her to my family.

I did not love her, I felt nothing for her, it was just a fling.

My heart was mine only, I was not going to give anyone the chance to hurt me ever again.

I sent more donations to Oakland companies, I was so confident of winning this award.

It was more than just holding the award, it was more like victory over my enemies.

And still how would it be like, facing my ex wife?

I boarded a flight back to Oakland.

I went straight home.

It was good to be finally back, the air was no longer heavy, no longer filled with heavy memories and longing.
