Chapter 56- The Wait

MALRIK POV

It almost hurt to leave the royal chambers.

Almost hurt to leave her side.

But I knew I had to let her get some rest. Especially after all the shitshow that happened today. It would be an understatement of the century to say the whole day hadn’t actually been pleasant to her. And after spending what felt like an eternity watching her get accustomed to her space, exploring every inch of it with wide eyes and that beautiful smile, leaving her felt fucking wrong.

Chapter 63- Completely OwnedAURELIA POV I should have known agreeing to become their mate came with consequences. After all, nothing was utterly perfect. I just hadn’t expected the consequences to involve being carried upstairs like a sack of potatoes.“You know you are being ridiculous?” I mumbled against Malrik’s broad back, having surrendered to my fate. There was no way he was going to let me go after this. And the idea of what came next caused à shiver to roll down my spine. “How so? I’m not the one who abandoned my mates for the whole entire day.” “It wasn’t an entire day. It was just one afternoon.” “Still-,” he grunted like the topic was getting onto his last nerve. “Unforgivable.” We arrived in the Royal chambers all too quickly, and a loud yelp left my lips when he dumped me onto the couch before straddling my hips and entrapping my body. His chest was rising and falling with harsh breaths as he stared at me like I was the only thing right in the world. “You don't l

  • Unclaimed By Fate   Chapter 62- No Sleepover

Chapter 62- No SleepoverAZRAEL POVI was halfway down the grand staircase when I stopped mid-step. Aurelia was standing in the foyer in nothing but a skimpy bikini. A sarong was tied around her lean waist, and she was laughing. Actually laughing. Her head was thrown back, her hair spilling over her shoulders while Ysara stood beside her, her shoulders rocking with silent laughter and looking entirely too pleased with herself. My beast immediately stirred inside me. MINE. The thought came so instinctively that I had to grip the railing to steady myself. She looked so beautiful. Not the carefully dressed woman who walked the castle halls with all the poise of a queen. Not the woman who had spent the last few days discovering a whole entire world. Not the woman bound by the shackles of her dark past. Not a woman filled with grief, pain, and vengeance. Just Aurelia. Relaxed. Happy. And most importantly, alive. And I just couldn’t wait to mark her. Properly, permanently binding he

  • Unclaimed By Fate   Chapter 61- Life & Reason For My Existance

Chapter 61- Life and Reason For My ExistenceAURELIA POV “So…” à loud slurp of a smoothie through a straw followed. “What else have you been up to aside from going against the rules I drew for you?” Ysara asked while shaking her glass bottle, staring at the remnants of her smoothie through thick-rimmed glasses sunglasses. We were sprawled on the loungers inside the sunroom…Yahp. The castle had a bloody sunroom, a drawing room, a banquet hall, and every other thing you can think of. When Sasha mentioned that the castle had every sort of entertainment for everyone… She didn’t lie. “M.m. Hold it right there.” I slurped my own smoothie while springing from the lounger and straightening up, then held my finger in her face. “You mean to ask how I survived after you left me to fend for myself in unfamiliar territory while you were out there on your adventure? I almost died. On top of that, you lied to me. About everything.” I said in a loud voice. She removed her sunglasses and stared at

Chapter 60- The Witch Is BackMALRIK POVShe had been back for only an hour, and somehow she had managed to take our mate from us. That caused a scowl to bubble up from out of me. Ysara’s eyes landed on my face and she flashed a knowing grin my way, her hand massaging Aurelia’s head the same way I had been doing one hour ago before she announced her special arrival. I fought hard not to roll my eyes at her, but the urge fucking won. She chuckled before refocusing on Azrael. The bitch knew what she was doing. She knew she was taunting me and it was fucking working. But looking at Aurelia, looking at how peaceful she looked with her head placed on Ysara’s lap, I fucking bit my tongue. Our mate was so happy and it was all because of the witch. And for that, she got to keep her head on her attached to her neck.“So…” Azrael started after pushing aside à file that contained all of Derek’s findings. “Did you find the relic?” My eyes flitted to where he said like the true king he was. Ys

  • Unclaimed By Fate   Chapter 59- The Reunion

Chapter 59- The Reunion AURELIA POV For days to come, I buried myself in the library and made it my second home. Sasha became my personal maid and attended to all my needs. The best way to put it was that she became my literal shadow. And I didn’t mind. The girl had the character of a puppy. She was so lively and so vibrant I genuinely envied her. Such brightness showed the problems of this life had never tainted her, and I prayed she never lost the light in her eyes. The sun was a burning coal in the sky and I was splayed all over Azrael’s office lounger with my head on Malrik’s lap and some lemonade on the coffee table next to me. Azrael sat behind his desk and the two brothers conversed lightly and softly about the affairs of the kingdom. It was so refreshing seeing them in their element and handling everything with expertise and bravado only perfected by royalty. I had seen alphas handle pack business, I have dealt with elders and betas alike. But none of them commanded the a

  • Unclaimed By Fate   Chapter 58- The Purge

Chapter 58- The PurgeAURELIA POV Sasha had been right. It would take years to fucking go through every little book in here. And I hadn’t even found something to read.I placed my hands on my waist and stared up at the wall of books that seemed to stretch up to the sky. I was on the second floor in the library, right in front of the history section. There was just so much I needed to learn about my mates, about the people I would soon be their queen. And I needed to swallow every bit and piece of information available in here. I looked around one more time before making my way to another staircase. I reached the third floor and stopped dead in my tracks when I took in the sight of a large painting plastered on a wall. From à distance, it was just a beautiful painting of à bloodmoon and lycans. Perfect brush strokes that didn’t seem to say much. Upon à closer look, it fucking told a story. It was a history lesson on its own.I stepped closer and let my eyes roam the piece. Right o
