The car ride to the dinner venue was short and uneventful though Dom did send a wink or two every time Iris looked at him. In ten short minutes, they had reached their destination. Like a perfect gentleman, Dom opened the vehicle door for his mate and held out a hand for her to take. No one had ever treated her like a girl before. Since brunch time, when Clara asked Iris to have a heart-to-heart with her, she'd had so many crying and laughing sessions and Clara had turned out to be the elder sister that Iris never had.
