Chapter 90: Catching Up

Selena couldn't stop staring at Lucas. Seeing those dark blue eyes opened, gave her all the joy she was expecting to feel once the war was over.

She told him everything that happened while he was unconscious; the funerals, the talk with Demi, and all she went through while thinking that he would die at any moment.

Lucas stroked her hair gently, while she cuddled with him, narrating what happened after he blacked out at the forest at the night of the fight.

Joseph had come to check on Lucas once more that night before he left to his village. Selena told him he could go home to see his family and that she would call if anything happened.

She would pass the night by his side, making sure he had every support he needed while recovering. Even though Lucas had woken up, he was still very weak and with a lot of pain.
