It was currently a quarter to one. After that delightful dinner, we retired to our rooms with Francis insisting on cleaning up before going home. After a quick shower, I stared up at my ceiling, still clad in a towel thinking about Zannicus.

'Is he all right? He must be asleep by now. Should I check on him?' Even though he might be asleep, I'll just take a quick look.

I quietly stepped out into the hallway right after changing. Ensuring the coast was clear, I made my way downstairs and breezed quietly through the dim living room and kitchen and avoided the creaky steps leading down to Zannie's room.

Slowly, I pushed his door open and craned my head to the right, only to find his bed, still made, empty. Alarmed, I barged through, about to call his name when I stepped on something soft.

'Wha-? Shorts and shirts?' And another pair, I noticed, 'And why is it so cold in here??' The answer to my last question was answered by a chilly breeze due to open window.
