The following day, Ethan took Meadow to the clearing to please Nightshade. He did not want the event that had happened to spoil their vacation.

What Meadow had told him about Echo had also lifted his spirit; he believed that with the right amount of effort, Echo would come out.

While Nightshade moved about the place playing, he thought of the attack.

He hoped it was a fluke because he did not want to deal with trouble in his present condition. It would be unfair for him to leave the mess to Joseph, Levi, his mother and Meadow to deal with.

If that ever happened, he would be a useless alpha. He was hopeful that the wolf therapist would make heads way.

Nightshade was happy that they returned to the clearing, and she had fun playing in the open while Ethan watched her.

Ethan was still in awe of her beauty and skills and was proud that she was his.

Echo stirred a couple of times, but nothing like he did the previous day. He just assured Ethan that he was there.

Ethan could have been alpha commanded to this mindset when he was at his lowest point in his life. The strong hypnosis coupled with the alpha command is wearing off its just a matter of time the truth will come to light.
