Duke's POV

Why, oh why has my uncle arrived? What precisely does he want of me? I'm walking towards my office, knowing that my uncle will be sent there, even if I don't want to leave Elaine's side quite yet.

Damn.

I'm still not ready to let uncle see Elaine, and I had no plans to let him see Elaine. But if he stays in this place, this will cause problems. I need a strategy to get him to leave this house.

" Where is my uncle?" I asked Ash, our family butler, as we walked.

"He's staying at your office, sir," Ash responded to my question.

" Did he say the purpose of his visit?" I asked Ash again.

"No sir, your uncle didn't inform us about the reason for his unexpected visit," Ash said with a shake of his head.

I simply nodded in response and proceeded directly to my office, opening the door and stepping inside. My uncle turned around to see who walked in, and when he realized it was me, his lips formed a phony smile.
