Chapter 38 - early temptation

Elaine's POV

When I was out of my room, we immediately went down stairs to meet Duke who was waiting for me at the last step of the stairs. He immediately sensed that I was coming down and looked up towards me. While looking at my face Duke has a surprise expression on his face as if he saw something that made him have that expression.

I just continued walking down until I reached the last step of the stairs where Duke was still gazing at my face without moving since he had seen me.
