Chapter 136
Yesterday night was good, thanks to my sister who managed to brighten up my mood. I stood in front of a mirror, adjusting the collar of my denim shirt. I was good to go over to Maya's house again.
Mother said she and Maya's mother had spoken yesterday and agreed to meet again today without the husband's knowledge. He had embarked on a journey today to come back tomorrow so it was an opportunity to meet up and talk about what was going on.
I was done so I walked out of my room and climbed up the stairs, glancing around like it was my first time of coming here. There were numerous pictures and flower vssez that decorated the hall. One picture had aunt Amber holding up a sunflower with a smile on her face. The smile appeared to be a very genuine one.
