“Darren, you must have misunderstood things here, " I scolded my daughter in a fit of anger. It doesn’t mean anything,” Lydia flashed a sweet smile, her eyes still fixed on the expensive gift placed on the table.

“I don’t want to hear any explanation.” Darren looked at them indifferently. He was in no mood to listen to their stupid justification.

Seeing that, James ran over and quickly packed everything and took the bags away.

Darren didn’t say anything more. He held Mia’s hand and left Thomason's family villa.

Lydia and Eva could not do anything but watch as the couple left them in the dust.

Darren finally let go of Mia’s hand when they got outside. His face softened as he looked at her. “Why didn’t you tell me that you were going to see your parents?”
