21 - Claim her again

"How are you feeling?" Lorenzo asked Naya as he sat on the edge of the bed.

Naya kept her head low. "I'm feeling better."

Lorenzo smiled. "That's good. Oh, I almost forgot. I brought this from the kitchen."

Naya received a small box. She opened it and was a bit surprised. She couldn't be mistaken; these were almonds. Almonds were quite rare because the trees that produced them were picky about the soil they grew in. Even in the Light Shadow Pack, there was only one almond tree, and only the royal family could eat its nuts when it bore fruit.
