Each year, all packs were expected to give their offerings as part of the world’s tradition. It was said packs who missed the offering will be cursed, with famine and drought befalling their territories all year round. That’s why each pack had an altar where they served and offered their prayers and offerings to the Moon Goddess. As the beta's daughter, along with other beta fighters her age, Naya’s task was to gather the offerings. The royal family would receive it and present it on the altar. Usually, it was the youngest child of the royal family who would do the job. During the entire ritual, Naya and the rest of the beta warriors and omega servants would be tasked to watch outside and wait until it was over. Once everything was done, the temple gates would be closed. Now, she stood in front of another temple, and for a second, Naya’s thoughts wandered off. Her eyes spotted the differences between the temple before her and the temple she had seen a couple of times before, its i
“They’re going to kill her!” Sage exclaimed, standing by the tree some distance away from the temple. “I doubt they’re going to do that…” Billy said standing next to her. He was panting hard, lips paling while holding his arm. Sage looked at his wound and dilemma filled her eyes. She and the rest of the team found Billy and were able to save him, but not before he was tortured. Fortunately, he was still breathing when they found him in that dungeon. After they escaped, they decided to find their captain, Naya but were stunned to find out she was taken by their leader of the border, a full-blooded alpha prince named Kael from the West Wood Pack. They were even more shocked when they heard Naya had become a slave. Chills ran over Sage’s spine each time she imagined Naya’s suffering. “We need to help her. She doesn’t deserve to be in that situation…!” Billy’s mouth hung open as he breathed with difficulty. He looked like he wanted to say something but what only came out was a cough.
Kael heaved out, beads of sweat trickling down his torso down to his pelvis. He brushed his hair through his fingers, letting out a small smile, revealing his fangs. Tone unreadable once more, he uttered, “That was fun, wasn’t it?” Naya had her head spinning. Her body was aching and there was no way of knowing where it hurt the most. What frustrated her was the thought that during the entire deed, she couldn’t resist. And the worst part was that… it made her feel something else. The mere thought of her acting out on pleasure by herself made her shudder. She heard Kael let out a low chuckle. Then she felt him move, closer until he had touched her neck. His sight landed on Naya’s flesh, specifically where the collar was wrapped. Kael’s eyes glinted mysteriously and Naya’s body shivered upon seeing it. Suddenly, there was a knock on the temple doors. Kael took his gaze away from Naya’s and turned to the door. “Surely they didn’t come to punish me now, did they?” he started laughing
"Why go to the temple in the first place when you know you can't stand it? The lake can only do so much." Kael laughed at Jed. "You talk too much these days. Why, it's fun staying in the water, especially in good weather like this." Jed almost choked. Good weather? It's already sunset and the wind was too cold in this part of the lake! "Please refrain from doing these things again, if your father, Alpha, learns--" "Oh stop being silly. The alpha knows everything about everyone in the pack. You ditched the training to pass the message so you of all people should know it." Jed froze. But he insisted, "But that's only because you didn't return when he asked you. Prince Kael, it’s been a week since you left the main village. If this goes on longer--" "Ugh, I get it I get it. Stop nagging me, Jed. Be still like this water and try to cool your head off, won't you? I'll tell you my plan later. Sounds good?" "..." Did Jed even have a choice? Kael chuckled. Finally, some peace. He sigh
“You sent those men?” Kael asked as he sat on the chair. Jed bowed slightly. “Yes. They are with the slave at this moment.” Kael hummed as a response. Then smiling, he shut his eyes and sighed. “Great. Can I take a nap now?” Jed’s face twitched. He wanted to say something when there was a knock on the door. “Who is it?” “Alpha Prince Kael, Master Jed, Romeo is here to see you both.” Jed glanced at the alpha prince who was now lying down on his chair, his back and his legs hinged up without care. He sighed and spoke instead, “Let him in.” A man wearing a tie around his head entered. He looked at Kael once then knelt on one knee. “Alpha Prince, it is I, your messenger Romeo. I have come to report about an incident.” Kael hummed, still lying on his chair with his eyes closed. “Go ahead.” “Yesterday, the troops we sent to deliver the reply to Lotus Maiden Pack were ambushed! We were passing by the river near the Night Ridge’s territory when a group of rogues appeared. Because of t
Jed took a deep breath before glancing at Kael. Truly, Kael’s behavior towards packs – whether small or big – remained the same. They didn’t change over the years. What’s more, they seemed to be only getting worse. Jed clenched and unclenched his hands while taking more deep breaths. He tried different ways to improve the alpha prince’s condition but he failed again and again. Over the years he realized there was simply nothing that could change him. Kael wouldn’t change, no matter if he was delighted, in the mood, or had found interesting toys or not. Even towards that slave… A small glint flashed through Jed’s eyes as he remembered Naya, Kael’s recently found toy. That rogue was going to have a taste of what it was like to be Kael’s possession now. Would she finally understand her position? Jed wondered. She didn’t look like she would break easily. Kael was aiming to make her surrender… or was that his real purpose? Jed stared at Kael who was still relaxed on his chair, tryi
“You think you’re above us because you’re taken as a toy, huh?” one of the men said with a snicker. Naya looked at Peter and his minion in silence. Peter walked arrogantly and went to grab Naya’s hair. Naya dodged it quickly, sending him a kick instead. The other men laughed. “How dare you kick Boss Peter?!” the man snickering earlier said with a cold glare at Naya. He lunged forward, almost breaking the metal chain around his hands when Naya kicked up, her knee giving a lightning-bolt hit towards the minion’s groin. The minion groaned in pain on the ground, wailing while glaring at Naya and cursing her nonstop. “… I will kill you, bitch!” Peter also let out a huff. He started to kick Naya but Naya lowered her body. In a quick jab, she sent Peter away, stumbling to the other two men who had been laughing at them while fighting. Hit by accident, the two laughing men halted, their smiles disappeared as they looked at Naya coldly. One of them stood up, annoyed. “So you’re a fight
Naya felt a chill run down her spine, her eyes widening in shock as she spun around, her heart pounding erratically. With a surge of adrenaline, she instinctively swatted away the hand that had grabbed her.At the foot of the dimly lit staircase, a man stood, bathed in a faint, eerie glow. His tousled hair hung wildly, framing a face drenched in perspiration, the sweat meandering down the rugged terrain of his chiseled features. His eyes, sharp and intense, were framed by thin, tightly pressed lips that quickly ignited a memory within Naya's mind."Are you okay?" The man's voice, strained and breathless, pierced through the tense silence. He took a cautious step toward Naya.Naya, her senses still on high alert, retreated a step, maintaining a defensive distance between them. Suspicion lingered in her gaze as she regarded the stranger. With an air of patience that defied the urgency of the situation, Lorenzo slowly lowered his hands, casting a reassuring gaze upon her. "I-I'm not a ba
