Chapter 13

Ally’s POV

I opened my eyes to find myself on a bed in a very cold room. So cold that the air I breathed out made me think it was winter period. I looked around the dark empty room and stood up, making the bed creak and disturbing the creepy silence that enveloped the place.

Slowly, I took careful steps towards the door and opened it. I stepped into the dark corridor and walked using the wall as my guide. The more I walked, the colder it became until my teeth were practically frozen.

That's when I heard it.

A violent howl.

A pained yell.

The voice sounded very familiar and I began doubling my steps.

"Don't let me die" the voice pleaded and I gasped.

My father.

I started running.

"Dad, where are you? Tell me, please. Say something. I'm coming, okay?"

"Find the moonstone. Set us free."

As I approached a door at the end of the hall, strong arms began pulling me back.

"No. Let me go. What are you doing to him?"

I struggled and yelled.

I sobbed and kept trying to break free.
