Chapter 56

"Prepare for emergency surgery right now!" Doctor Russell shouted at the other doctors and nurses. Angel's bed was pushed hastily along the hospital corridor. The people around the corridor stepped aside to make their way easier. The atmosphere that afternoon was so tense, especially for Sean who also ran while holding his girlfriend's thin hand.

"S-sean..." Without a sound, Angel's lips called out Sean's name behind the breathing apparatus. There was blood around her mouth. Yes, Angel suddenly had a seizure before she vomited blood. Now she was having trouble breathing, and her hands were so cold. "I am scared."

"Do not be scared. I'm always with you."

As soon as Angel's bed entered the operating room, their grip fell off. Sean could see Angel's fingers were still trying to reach him, and it made his heart hurt. 

"Sean, you need to wait outside. We will start anesthesia so that the operation can be carried out quickly." Doctor Russel said.
