Chapter 8

Harvey waved his hand from a distance after showing the ticket to the airport staff. For a few days he will go on a business trip to Germany. Harvey and I never parted ways. Usually when he's on a business trip, we always go together. But this time I really couldn't come.

"Would you like a cup of coffee?" A familiar voice offered me coffee. I smiled happily seeing Sean. He's wearing a white t-shirt with skinny jeans, that's all, but he looks handsome. Am I overreacting because I refused Harvey to be with Sean? "Finally we can be together."

I hurriedly took it, causing the coffee to fall on my hand. "Aw."

Without saying much, Sean dumped our coffee in the trash then dragged me into the parking lot. I knew he would scold me like a child. Sean liked to express anger more than any other feeling.

"Why are you so careless? Is it that hard to do something right?"

"I am fine."

"Sit."

Sean made me sit in the car, while he squatted in front of me and started rubbing my red hand.

"It's not like you saw an accident ---- aw!" I winced in pain. The reason was that Sean suddenly cleaned my hands using alcohol. After that Sean gave me a cartoon plaster. Without being able to prevent i laugh softly. "How cute."

"I am cute," Sean replied confidently. "But aren't I cuter in bed? Right?"

"What? You're wild as an animal in bed. Not cute at all."

"But you like it, don't you?" Sean chuckled. The palm of his hand he brought to my face before our lips met. We kissed while smiling at each other. "So how?"

It might be embarrassing if I said I wanted to feel his lips a little longer. I opened my eyes to find Sean's green eyes staring at me intensely. If I pay attention, Sean is indeed very handsome. The sharp nose, pink lips, thick eyebrows, and jawline make him even more perfect. How can he like me? I mean, he can get other women who are prettier and single.

"Hey, how?" Sean repeated the same question.

I cleared my throat just to make sure I didn't lose my voice. We do have sex and other intimate activities a lot, but I still get nervous about every little thing he does. "That's ... good. You're a good kisser. I like it."

Sean laughed and I was stunned. "Yes, it's because your lips are beautiful. But what I ask is your hand. Does your hand still hurt?"

"That's what I mean! I love the wound on my hand, not your kiss!" I screamed in panic. Sean gave no other response than to ruffling my hair fondly.

"Let's go to the hospital first."

"Why do we have to go to the hospital?" I asked confused. Sean got into his chair and put my seat belt on. One thing crossed my mind. "My car is here, Sean. I can't leave it."

"My driver will take care of it."

"I don't want to make things difficult for you. As long as I can do it myself, of course I will."

"You are mine. Nothing is difficult as long as it concerns you."

"I am not yours." I whisper softly and doubtfully.

As information, one month ago when Sean confessed my love I had not given an answer. I asked Sean to give me time to think clearly. It's not easy for me to completely risk my marriage with Harvey. I had to convince myself that my love for Sean wasn't a stupid illusion. There must be a reason why everything changed from Harvey to Sean.

Sean hit the steering wheel and I gasped. I realized he was angry at the fact that I didn't belong to him. Either not or it will never happen.

The silence for a few moments was so intimidating to me, until Sean finally spoke, "I'll make you mine, Angel. I swear."

----

After our little bickering, I was lying in the emergency room of the hospital. Wait, Sean didn't hurt me. He just wanted to make sure that the spilled coffee didn't have a bad effect on my hand. This may sound weird and exaggerated, but I couldn't refuse after we had argued.

"You have been handled properly. Do you have any other complaints?" Asked a young doctor. The name tag is Kyrstal. Unique name.

"Try asking him." The doctor followed my eyeballs, then found Sean on the phone. The emergency room was quiet, so I could hear Sean mentioning Steve, the driver. Looks like Steve is going to take my car at the airport.

"Oh, I understand. Your husband?"

"Do we both look old?" I asked, then let the doctor work the same way Sean had done before.

"Of course not, you two look great together." She smiled. "It's finished. Next time you have to be more careful."

"Thank you."

I got out of bed, and was about to go to Sean, but he wasn't there. I left the emergency room to enter the core of the hospital. Since my bag is with him, I have not paid my bill. Where is he anyway?

"Please make way! Someone will give birth!"

The nurse pushing the bed appeared from behind, with a pregnant woman looking in pain. This surprised me before I decided to run after them. I was pacing in front of the operating room. I kept asking the nurses about the woman's condition, but they couldn't answer yet.

"Angel! I've been looking for you everywhere." Sean said breathlessly. He seemed to understand my panic because I was silent and didn't want to look into his eyes. "Hey, is there something wrong?" I could feel Sean sitting on the floor like me, then hugging my trembling body. My tears broke.

"She's alone, Sean. She gave birth without anyone accompanying her." My tears keep coming out.

"Who is she? Do you know her?"

"I don't know her. I just feel like it's unfair." My breath was gasping, and Sean rubbed my face repeatedly. "That woman is between life and death, so why isn't anyone coming? Isn't today going to be the most important day of her life?"

I thought Sean would sneer after hearing my nonsense answer. I'm crying for someone I don't know at all. But Sean hugged and comforted me again.

"We'll wait here. I'm sure good news will come." Said Sean.

I nodded, then ran my hand down his sturdy back. At that moment I knew Sean wasn't completely a bastard. Everyone has a good side, including him.

Sean's POV

I carried Angel into the row of chairs so that she could lie down comfortably. Five hours passed, and it was night now. At first, I considered this a useless thing. The woman Angel was worried about was a stranger. Why are we wasting time here? But I realize Angel has been expecting a child for the past 3 years, and this is probably the biggest reason she seems emotional.

The operating room door finally opened. A nurse pushes the baby incubator. I was speechless as the nurse asked about our relationship with the woman inside.

"We're her cousins." I lied.

"Mrs. Renata is asleep. You can come here tomorrow according to visiting hours."

The nurse leaves. Not long after, Angel woke up and immediately asked many things. I led her to where the nurse was carrying Renata's baby. From the glass window, our eyes were fixed on a very small baby.

Angel who was standing beside me was crying. She touched the dividing glass, then folded her arms across her chest. I honestly didn't know I would see a situation like this. I only understood that Angel wanted a child, without knowing that she needed a child to complete her life.

"She's beautiful. Aren't we lucky to see her?" I wiped my tears briefly before bringing Angel to my chest. "The baby is very light, Sean. Is he all right? What should we do?"

I kissed Angel on the forehead, then said, "You're going to have kids one day. I'll make sure that happens."
