Separation or divorce, choose one.

"At least Raymond treats Anna a thousand times better than you do!" Nebula jones said through gritted teeth, clearly upset.

"Is that so?" Gerald replied softly, his mind suddenly flooded with memories of his years married to Anna. He realized he hadn't treated her well at all.

Thinking about those unpleasant memories left Gerald uneasy.

"If she wants to be with Raymond, she should come and tell me herself," Gerald said coldly, stepping out of the room.

"You! Gerald! Haven't you hurt Anna Enough? You don't love her, yet you keep her around to suffer..." Nebula's words were abruptly cut off by the door slamming shut.

As the head of the family and CEO of the company, no one dared to bully Anna while she was with him.

But the chew family was plagued by internal strife.

Raymond had been kidnapped as a child and ended up in an orphanage, only to be brought back to the chew family as an adult.

By the time Raymond returned, his parents had passed away, and the family was controlled by the second branch, many were unhappy with Raymond's return.

His position was unstoppable, and even if Anna divorced Gerald Gerald and married Raymond, her life wouldn't be easy.

Gerald pondered deeply, then returned to Anna's hospital room.

Upon entering, he saw Anna, who had been asleep, now sitting up in bed.

Her long, dark hair cascaded over her shoulders as she gazed out the window.

It was late autumn, and rain had fallen throughout the night. leaves occasionally drifted down from the trees outside, creating a scene that seemed like a desolate painting to Gerald.

His heart suddenly felt unsettled.

Anna seemed to sense his presence and slowly turned her head. Seeing him, her pale face remained expressionless, which made Gerald feel even more uneasy.

"You're here?" Her voice was gentle yet hollow.

"Yeah, are you feeling better?" Gerald asked, unusually gentle, a rare moment without their usual tension.

He sat in the chair beside her, adjusting the blanket for her.

Anna looked at him with an empty gaze, calm and unruffled. Normally, she would have been surprised by his kindness.

But now...

Her voice was soft and sincere, "Gerald..."

"I promised mom i wouldn't mention divorce again. If you want to divorce, you talk to her. I won't object," Anna said softly.

Gerald frown slightly, "I never thought about divorce."

"Yeah, I figured. You want me to stay by your side to atone for the Tayler Family, right?" Anna gave a weak smile. "Look, I've paid the price. Isn't that enough? If you think it's not, all i have is my life. If you want it, I can give it too... But why?"

"If I've done something wrong, let the police punish me. If i deserve to die, bring evidence and let the law judge me, not this private Punishment."

"From now on, i don't want to respond to anything about the Tayler Family. If you think i caused their deaths, then fine, blame me. But as for you, I don't want to see you anymore."

Gerald's gaze flickered with unease, and sure enough, Anna said, "Gerald, let's separate."

"Anna!" Gerald's eyes narrowed sharply.

"Separate, or you talk to mom about divorce. Choose one."

Gerald's eyes darkened instantly. "What's the meaning difference between the two? Do you really want to leave me that badly?"

"Gerald, let me go," Anna looked up to meet his gaze, her eyes dry of tears.

In these five years of marriage, she had cried too many times for him...

But now, her heart, though alive, felt dead.
