Chapter 5

Chapter 5

His brain confirmed his anxiousness but the heart wanted to scream contrary.

Why?She is nobody to you. Didn't you want to spend a night with her? Destiny is giving you a second chance. Why not use it? Taming girls like her with your magical words is a cakewalk to you. You missed the last opportunity, why not use it now?

But his heart wouldn't agree to the signals of his mind.

Darn! She is a lot of work.

He could not see her in such a devastated state. What happened to her? Did her fiance play another dangerous game with her? Why was she out in the street late at night? Questions began to configure his mind endlessly. Thankfully his place could provide her with security.

He immediately called the bodyguard and told him to carry her to his room without waking her.

Sometimes you need to wait and watch and sometimes you need to act right at the time.

At the age of twenty, innocent Scarlet White was a killer.

Since Ace saw her, he’s been denying his feelings for her, ignoring the void in his heart he knows only she could fill.

Everything about them was contradicting. She wasn't a girl of his taste, yet a flavor that he wanted to relish.

He sought her just as one of those nigglings. Little did he know she was the girl who would make his life only more complicated than just a one night stand to sort out his feelings about her until nothing mattered to him in the world than her for whom he could even give away his life.

The dream…

She looked beside the handsome man. Even in her trepidation, she could note his virile features. His dark blonde hair was falling on his face giving him a boyish look.

Scarlet's fingers urged her to move his soft hairs away and get a good look at Venus. It is not like she was ever going to see him again.

He had everything that an Eros had to have. High cheekbones, a pointed jawline, strong muscles, and a bit of stubble grown that escalated his manliness.

His night pants were hanging low below his belly button. The thick mane on his chest passed through his middle in a happy trail and ended inside his pants Scarlet was intrigued to see.

Shit! Her brain went to the gutter for perceiving such dirty thoughts about a man who she met just yesterday.

A soft quaver escaped her throat, as she gulped heavily looking for the final time at the hypnotizing Adonis.

Taking her in his arms he gingerly placed her on the couch. She was burning with temperature. It was obvious. She was staying the complete night in such cold without even a proper roof.

His heart ached for her. She looked so weak and vulnerable. What was so tragic that happened that she was out without even a jacket? Did that stupid fiance make another stunt upon her? His hackles rose no sooner the name hit his mind. Before he pondered more about her Ace noted he had to immediately call a doctor.

He took a glass of water placed on his table and sprinkled water on her face. "Scarlet, open your eyes." He gently tapped her soft cheeks with the pads of his fingers.

She slowly took a peer to receive the person she never wanted to face. Her eyes stared at him wide in anger and trepidation. He was the same who took her virginity away in her unconsciousness.

Scarlett hated him.

An unlimited abhorrence crossed in her features as she looked at him. The day still holds a strong memory shaking her insides. She just hopes she doesn't go pregnant in her already complicated life.

"How are you?" Ace asks her in love like one speaks to a child, placing the back of his hand on her forehead to estimate her temperature.

"I'm good. Thank you for waking me up." She bit her words and thought she reached the door but he was quick enough to catch her and pull her inside.

"Where are you going?" He asked her, surprised. "You will stay here until I feel you are fit to go back to your hostel."

The word 'hostel' shook her insides with terror. Should anybody have noticed, she killed Carl? But no way she was going to stay with this heartless hunter. She hated rich people who use their power and money and exploit deprived, demolished girls like her.

Ace could see reels turn in Scarlet's head no sooner he talked going back. He knew he had more to learn than just getting her a treatment. But his first concern was a stomach filling food for her. She looked malnourished, like she would fly away with the wind.

"Be a good girl and have your breakfast before the doctor arrives." He pointed to the white tray filled with food on his table and was about to push away the hairs falling on her face when she shifted back to evade his touch. Scarlett loathed him for cashing on her vulnerable state.

Ace was hurt but he did not let his feelings project on his face.

"I'm alright and I do not need a doctor. Thank you for the help you did to me in the past and now too." Scarlet crunches on her words in sarcasm rising from the comforter again. But Ace's hold on her went firmer this time.

He is a damn cogent mogul who could buy 100 girls like her to lay under him. But he wasn't cheap, born in a desolate family to talk disrespectfully.

"I'm not here to take your orders. You will follow what I say since you have reached my territory." He spoke firmly.

Scarlet gaped at him in shock. The man had the guts to command her in spite of the abuse he did to her in the past. What kind of barricade had she landed herself into? Out of all places in the city she had to reach his office. If this is not the game of fate, what is it?
