Nick’s POV

The moment I entered the vehicle that blocked my path, a cloth was quickly pressed against my mouth.

And just like that, I blacked out.

I had no idea how long I was unconscious. The next thing I knew, icy water splashed against my face, jolting me awake.

My eyelids felt heavy, but I forced them open. I was tied to a chair, both hands bound tightly behind my back. In front of me stood four men, three in ski masks, and one wearing a full mask. We seemed to be underground. It was dark, lit only by a single, dim lightbulb.
