I feel like my chest is going to explode with frustration. Just a little more, and I might end up yelling at this arrogant man. Just because you're my boss doesn't mean you can treat me like this. Excuse me, you are not my boss! I muttered to myself. Ugh, this infuriating man. If Sir George hadn’t asked me, I would have never agreed to be your temporary secretary. Deep breaths, Jessica. You can do this. It’s just three days, and after that, I won’t have to see this man's face again. But wait, why did he even agree to have me as his temporary secretary if he doesn’t trust me at all? I was already briefed about his attitude, but I didn’t expect it to be this bad. I quietly stared out the window as we traveled. I didn’t even realize I had fallen asleep. "Wake up! Get the bags!" I was startled awake by a loud voice and the sound of a car door slamming shut. “Oh, crap! I’m dead meat again with this guy who has worse mood swings than a woman on her period. Seriously.” I hurriedly grabbed our luggage and rushed to catch up with my boss. After checking in, we headed straight to the room where we’d be staying for three days. It was a large suite with two bedrooms, a kitchen, and a living room. I placed his luggage inside his room while he immediately went to the office table, opened his laptop, and started working. I sat at the other table and opened my iPad to organize everything he would need for tomorrow. I had already prepared everything last night. I just needed to check if anything needed to be added or if I had missed anything important. I didn't realize that nearly two hours had passed. If my stomach hadn’t growled, I wouldn’t have stopped. I glanced at my boss. He was still completely focused on his work, as if he never got tired. I didn’t want to disturb him, but my stomach was starving. “Sir, I’ll head downstairs to eat. Would you like anything?” He lowered his glasses and looked at me. “I’m sorry, I lost track of time. Here, buy anything you want. I just need to finish this.” He handed me his black card. I was shocked by how calmly he said it. I honestly expected him to snap at me again. I was so stunned that I just stood there, not moving. “Here, take this!” he repeated, his eyebrows now furrowed. I quickly grabbed the card. “How about you, sir? What will you eat?” I asked. “No need. I’ll just order over the phone.” “I can order for you, sir.” “I said I can manage! Go!” he snapped. “Okay, sir. I’m going now.” Ugh, I was just trying to be nice and get him food, yet he’s the one getting angry? Fine, starve if you want! I turned away, muttering under my breath. “I can hear you!” “Huh?!” I turned back, startled, and quickly covered my mouth. “I’m really going now!” I said before running off. I was out of breath by the time I reached the elevator. “Oh no, why did I say that out loud?” I groaned, smacking my lips. “I’m so dead when I get back. Whatever, I just need to feed my poor, growling stomach.” I rubbed my belly as I entered the hotel’s restaurant. While eating, I overheard two men at the table behind me. Even though they were speaking quietly, I clearly heard them mention Sir Nick’s name. “Is everything ready for tomorrow? Let’s see if Nick can still fight back. He’s too full of himself and never listens. We need to teach him a lesson.” “Exactly. Let’s see if he can still refuse after what we’re going to do.” I frowned. What are they planning for tomorrow? “Hmm, I should warn Sir Nick. But ugh, he’s always so grumpy. It’s hard to deal with him. How should I tell him? Oh well, I’ll figure it out later.” After finishing my meal, I went straight back to our hotel room. When I entered, Sir Nick was no longer at his desk. I also didn’t see any food around. I just shrugged and went to my room. My body was itching, I needed a shower. After showering, I peeked into the living room to check if Sir Nick needed anything. He was still not at his desk. I hesitated to knock on his door, afraid he might yell at me again. Ugh, whatever. I’ll just do it. I practiced my knocking several times, debating whether it should be soft or firm. Just when I was about to knock, the door suddenly swung open, and my hand landed directly on his chest. Out of shock and panic, I jumped back and shoved him. “Waaah!” I screamed. Thankfully, he managed to grab onto the doorframe. “What is wrong with you!?” he snapped in irritation. “S-Sorry, sir! I just wanted to ask if you needed anything before I go to sleep.” I explained hurriedly. “No. Go to bed. But make sure to wake up early!” “Okay, sir. Goodnight.” I was about to head back to my room when I suddenly remembered something. “Ah, sir!” “What now!?” he asked loudly, making me jump. “I-I just wanted to ask… Have you eaten yet?” “I’ll eat later.” He didn’t even look at me and went straight back to his work. “Okay, sir. I’m really going to sleep now. Goodnight.” He completely ignored me. I rolled my eyes and mimicked him, “I’ll eat later… na na na na na.” “Ugh, he’s so grumpy! Acting like he’s all that. But… wait, he is handsome. And fresh-looking. And his chest was… firm.” “Wait, erase! Erase! That’s not allowed. I can’t be looking at my boss like that. No falling in love, Jessica. No way!.” I clutched my chest, talking to myself like a crazy person. Despite being annoyed, I still ordered food for Sir Nick. He was probably too busy to remember eating. “Whatever, it’s his money anyway. If he doesn’t eat it, that’s his problem.” I muttered. Maybe it was the exhaustion from the trip, but as soon as I lay down, I fell asleep immediately.Audrey’s POVThree Months After Giving BirthI can’t stay still inside my room. I keep checking myself in the mirror, looking at the wedding gown we spent months dreaming about, and now, I’m finally wearing it. I’m nervous, but I can’t even begin to explain how happy I am. I guess this is really how it feels when you're about to get married, a whirlwind of emotions. Fear, nerves, joy, and that feeling like you could soar at any moment.“Audrey, wow!”Carly stops at the doorway. Her eyes widen, and she quickly covers her mouth with her hands. She walks toward me slowly, fighting back tears.“You look so lovely… so beautiful in your wedding gown,” she says, her voice trembling.I let out a laugh even though I’m on the verge of tears myself. “Damn, I don’t want to cry, I’ll ruin my makeup,” Carly complains, wiping her eyes.“Me too,” I say, forcing a chuckle. “Though they told me this mascara is waterproof.”“Are you ready?” she asks.I take a deep breath and nod slowly. “Let’s go.”
Nick’s POVSeven Months LaterThe loud sound of the heart monitor beep… beep… beep echoes through the room, each beat seeming to sync with the pounding of my own heart. I can feel the coldness in my hands as I grip Audrey’s hand tightly. I’m trying my best to stay strong, but inside, I’m trembling with nerves and fear.I see the struggle on her face, the sweat beads rolling down her temples, the strain in the veins of her neck, and how she’s fighting back tears. But even then, there’s a strength in her eyes the fierce courage of a mother ready to give her everything.“Just a few more pushes, Mommy! Baby is coming out!” the doctor says, excitement in her voice.I take a deep breath, forcing myself to stay calm.“Love, you can do this, okay? I’m here. Just breathe… please, breathe with me.”Inhale… exhale… inhale… exhale…As I say those words, I realize they aren’t just for her; they’re for me too, because I feel like I’m about to break from the pressure. Audrey grips me so hard her n
Nick’s POV“Love... uhhmm.” I can’t even describe the joy and pleasure I feel while Audrey is pleasuring me.Fuck, this is nothing like I imagined. This is far beyond amazing. She’s doing it slowly, and it’s driving me crazy in the best way possible. She’s teasing me with the way she tastes me. But with every movement, she makes me feel an indescribable bliss. She might not be an expert, but she gives me a unique kind of happiness, because she’s the woman I love and have longed for.“Audrey, Love... uhmm.” She’s being so careful, as if she’s afraid of hurting me.“Does it feel good, Love?” she asks. She looks worried, like she’s afraid she isn't doing it right.“So good, Love...” I confess, breathless. My heart is racing. As her eyes grow misty with desire, I can feel the heat in every stroke she gives me.“Aaahh.” I reach out and hold her hair as she begins to pick up the pace.“Huh!” I can’t believe my Audrey is doing this. I can’t contain my happiness.“Love... aaahh...” Fuck, I’m
Audrey’s POVAfter Nick gave me a tour of the cabin, we had breakfast together, simple, yet filled with laughter and gazes that lingered a little too long before we could look away. Now, we’re in the other room resting, but I can feel a distinct silence between us, a kind of stillness heavy with both desire and love. This room feels warm and inviting. The high ceilings and wooden beams lend a touch of rustic elegance, while the fire in the fireplace flickers gently, casting light and warmth all around us.We are sitting on the soft sofa, I’m leaning against Nick’s chest while he tenderly strokes my hair. We’re just quiet, but every touch of his speaks volumes. I close my eyes, savoring the moment. It's quiet, peaceful, yet so full of emotion. Outside, the view is breathtaking. When I open my eyes, he’s right there, looking at me with such depth. His eyes say everything, love, longing, and a desperate wish to never be lost again.“I love you,” he says softly, almost a whisper, but I f
Audrey’s POVI could barely speak, overwhelmed by happiness and emotion. Memories of every moment with Nick flashed through my mind. I hadn’t expected that he had hidden the ring all this time. My tears wouldn’t stop falling.“Love… will you spend the rest of your life with me?”“Together, we’ll face every challenge that comes our way. I want to be there for you, for better or worse, until our hair turns gray.”I nodded through my tears, extending my hand for him to slip the ring back onto my finger. I could feel it trembling slightly.“Yes… yes, Love.”Nick’s own eyes glistened as he carefully slid the ring onto my finger. He held my hands tightly, and together we stood. Bathed in the soft light of the rising sun, he made me feel the depth of his love.He leaned in and kissed me, gentle, soft, and deep, a kiss of promise, love, and gratitude. With every movement of his lips, I could feel his devotion. It was as if he was saying, I’ll protect you. I’ll take care of you. And I responde
Nick’s POV“Where are we going?” Audrey asked excitedly as we drove on. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity as she leaned back in her seat, smiling despite the obvious fatigue.“You’ll know once we’re there,” I replied with a smile, reaching for her hand and pressing a gentle kiss to it.“You can sleep, Love. It’s still a long drive. I’ll wake you when we arrive.”“I don’t want to stay awake, Love… but I’m really sleepy,” she murmured, her voice soft, drowsy, unbearably sweet.“I know, Love. It’s okay.”I pulled the car over to the side of the road.“Why did you stop?” she asked, puzzled.I smiled and leaned closer. Her eyes widened in surprise. I brought my face closer to hers, just one more inch and our lips would meet.“What are you planning to do?” she asked, half-joking, half-nervous, glancing around at the darkness of the early morning.“Here? In the middle of nowhere?”“Aaah!” she yelped when her seat suddenly reclined, lowering smoothly so she could lie comfortably.I laughed sof
