Aris’s POV

I gave him a long, searching stare, sharp, deliberate. I saw George falter slightly at my words, caught off guard.

Earlier, the moment he mentioned Aiah and Scarlett when I walked in, something flickered in my mind.

And now, as I watched him closely, the thought became clearer. Aiah and George, they were like two halves of the same mirror. The eyes, the stance, the quiet confidence… I couldn’t be mistaken.

So I tested him. And I was right.

His reaction gave him away.

He could be Aiah’s father… and worse, it seemed he already knew it.

"So… he’s already seen Scarlett and Aiah in the Country?" I muttered to myself, one brow lifting as I caught the slight tension in his shoulders.

“I need to talk to Scarlett,” I whispered under my breath, “before I do something reckless.”

I didn’t give him the chance to recover.

“I won’t keep you long, Mr. David. I still have to prepare for tonight, Mr. Chua’s party. Are you attending?”
