"You knew?"

I shrug and look away. "A dumb person could have known as well." His heated gaze penetrated in the side of my face and I somewhat felt cold. "Were you pretending?"

"What makes you say that?"

I turned my face and met his gaze.

We both had the same color but mine had turned colder with time. The warmth within them was long gone. His lips parted as he searched something, anything, opting to stay silent as ever.

I cocked a brow. "Take a picture, it will last longer."

"How were you all these years?" He blurted out while redness creeped up his ears and my other brow joined the already arched one.

To be very honest I wasn't expecting him to ask such a question, not after what happened.

"You damn amuse me every single time, Agostino." My lips curled up in a ghostly smirk. The Capo was clearly embarrassed. "How sensitive of you to ask me about my well-being." I chuckled and shook my head.

Something about him was off. He was here, willingly talking to me and I had my own
