Chapter 2.

BELLA'S POV

" Bella dear, where the hell are you coming from?" Mr. Shone hissed at Bella. Mr. Shone was Bella's father. He had been waiting for her since the evening hours and had received news that she was at the biker's match. Was Vex also Bella's idol, or did she just go to watch the match? "Your brother Zane is out of prison. He was released yesterday, and he hasn't come home yet. So I want you to be more careful," her father warned her.

Bella stood up, moved to the side of the window, and said, "For the past ten years, you have never cared how I live. You never cared about my safety. So why did you suddenly get interested?" The air in the room grew cold. Mr. Shone stayed quiet for a moment. "It's not that I didn't care about you and your mother. I was so busy building the company, and... my family needed me—my wife, Victoria, my three sons—they all need me," Shone finally said.

Bella moved towards him and leaned on the desk. "So you mean... we didn't need you. Me, my mother, we didn't need you," she said, her gaze fixed firmly on her father's face. Shone adjusted his tie. Inside, he felt so ashamed for leaving Bella and her mother at the very last moment when they literally wanted him the most. He had abandoned his mistress's family, the woman he loved most. He felt guilty about all that had happened to her.

"Sir, Assistant Croft is here to see you," the butler said from outside. Bella rested her case and stormed out of the study. She moved back to her room and settled down. All the memories of her late mother came pouring into her mind.

Her mother was a very beautiful young lady. She had died in a car accident. Bella and her mother were rushed to the nearby hospital. Bella's mother wanted immediate surgery to remove pressure from her head. The doctors needed someone old enough and a relative of the patient to sign the documents for surgery. Bella was still a ten-year-old kid at that time, and she had a few injuries. She rushed out of the hospital to get her father to sign the papers.

When she arrived at her stepmother's villa, where she expected to find her father, she was, however, told that her father had gone abroad. She rushed back to the hospital to tell the doctors. Her mother's condition worsened, and by the time the doctor reacted, she was gone. Bella lost her mother due to her father's absence at the time they needed him the most. Bella blames her mother's death on her father.

Bella's phone buzzed, waking her up. She rubbed her tears and reached for her phone. It was a text.

Brandon: "Bella, we have a situation. Zane is out of prison."

Bella: "I know, Dad told me."

Brandon: "Then mind more about your safety."

Ten years in prison for the case of murder. Zane had murdered someone: Bella's bodyguard and her mother. His target, however, was Bella.

ELIAS' POV.

"Hey, wake up," Levi said, stepping on Elias' foot. He woke up and found all the students looking at him. Was he snoring? Of course not.

"Morning, Mr. Velelaio," the professor teased him. All the students burst out laughing. He cleared his throat and fixed his gaze on his notebook, which was wet with his saliva. He had spent the entire night watching Vex's match and shouting at the top of his lungs, and now he looked so tired.

During lunch hour, Alex approached Elias. "Have some coffee," Alex said, handing him a coffee cup. Alex had been secretly in love with Elias for a very long time, but Elias was completely unaware of that. "Will you go watch Vex's match tonight? I heard you're a fan of that mysterious Vex," Alex said. There was a very jealous look on his face. He had liked Elias for so many years, but he loved a biker named Vex. Though Alex wasn't sure about Elias's feelings for Vex, it was a fact that he felt very insecure.

"I have to go help Dad at the restaurant. Levi, see you at the evening match," Elias said. "Bro, I don't want to go," Levi replied. He was more tired of Elias's behavior around Vex. Elias couldn't afford to miss Vex's match, and tomorrow they had classes. "I will buy two tickets: one for me and another for you. So don't let it go to waste," Elias said, running towards the bus. Levi stood there watching him leave. He couldn't let anything go to waste, so he decided to go in the evening. He sighed slightly.

"Dad, guess what? Vex has a match tonight, so I want to do all my chores early," Elias said happily. Jack Velelaio, Elias's father, had a small restaurant. "No worries, just go prepare yourself. No need to do any chores," Jack said as he washed the vegetables. "No, Dad, I have to do chores," Elias said as he took off his bag, folded up his shirt, and began washing the dishes.

BELLA'S VILLA.

"Hey, let's go! We are getting late," Brandon said on his bike. Bella was also going somewhere. She shook her glass of wine. "I will be there, just go," she replied softly. Brandon's bike sped off. Bella was probably lost in thought when she was interrupted by a maid who told her that she had a visitor. Bella told her to wait for her in the living room. She stood up and went to meet the visitor.

Bella's phone buzzed. It's Brandon again. "Don't be late. And please be more careful where you're going and get here safely," he said. "Okay, I will be more careful," she replied as she shut her phone off. She moved like a queen herself, with a hidden power within her. She made her way to the study room to meet her visitor.

A figure stood by the window with a glass of wine in hand. He had a perfect masculine body. He took a sip of wine and turned. Bella was both shocked and angry. "How dare he show up in my house? Who does he think he is? After all he did to me, and he dares to show up," Bella thought.

"How are you, dear sister? Long time," the figure said with a simple smile on his face. Bella was shocked.
