AUTHORS POV

It was as though shadows could hear the questions in Regina’s mind as she settled into the quietness of Tessa’s hospital room.

She loved that it was quiet, and further more, loved that her brother’s wealth could fetch them such specialized health care.

The movements of emergency trolleys pushing people around and the occasional distant footsteps in the corridor were the only sounds regina registered in her mind.

Tessa lay peacefully, her breathing steady, a slight smile playing on her lips as she drifted deeper into slumber.

Regina sat beside her, gently brushing a strand of hair from Tessa’s forehead. The day’s events had been overwhelming, and the room’s tranquillity offered a brief respite.

As the minutes ticked by, Regina’s eyelids grew heavy, and she leaned back in the chair, succumbing to the pull of sleep.

The room remained the same, yet there was an uncanny stillness, as if time itself had paused. Tessa stirred slightly, murmuring something inaudible before sett

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   Turbulence

AUTHOR’S POV Jamie returned from the restroom, his walk slightly awkward, and plopped down beside Tessa and Camila, wincing as he adjusted his seat. “Oh my God, my butt is on fire,” he exclaimed, fanning himself with the in-flight magazine. “I swear, I feel like I have just been rammed by a speeding train” The air was not enough for the sweet chaos coursing through his body and he abided by the sweet sensations his gaping hole was giving him. Tessa raised an eyebrow, her gaze narrowing. “Jamie, please tell me you didn’t just get intimate with a stranger you met on this flight.” Camila leaned in, her tone dripping with sarcasm. “So, the divah of cheap virtue strikes again? Jamie, you’re cheating on your anonymous vacation sponsor now?” Jamie rolled his eyes, unbothered. “It’s not that deep, guys. Besides, I’m meeting him again. His name is Rahl Perry.” He produced a sleek business card from his pocket, handing it to Tessa. Tessa examined the card, her skepticism evident. “Rahl P

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   Sex On a Flight

AUTHOR'S POVThe plane buzzed and vibrated steadily as it cruised above the clouds, the cabin filled with the soft murmur of conversations and the occasional clink of drink glasses from different corners. Tessa, Camila, and Jamie were nestled comfortably in their row, each immersed in their own world of excitement and anticipation for the Seychelles vacation ahead.Maybe it was just in Tessa’s head that the clouds hung like loose balls of cotton, and she lowkey wanted to reach out and pluck them as the plane sped through them. She didn’t sit by the window on the flight to the Virgin Atlantic Islands for that godforsaken honeymoon; she wished she had. The view alone was bliss.Camila leaned over to Tessa, her eyes sparkling with intrigue. "So, there's this guy I've been crushing on," she began, her voice tinged with excitement. "He's got this mysterious aura, always dressed impeccably, and that smile? It's like he knows all my secrets. I hope he makes a move soon."Tessa raised an eyeb

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   The Morning After

AUTHORS POV Tessa sat on the neatly dusted sofa, a steaming cup of tea cradled in her hands and warming her cold stomach. The events of the past few days had left her emotionally drained, but the thought of the upcoming vacation with Camila and Jamie brought a hint of excitement, it was the only piece of joy that seemed to hold her together since pedro forbade her from working till she is fully on her feet and recovered. Pedro entered the room, his footsteps steadied like he was trying to surprise her. He carried a small box, which he placed on the coffee table before sitting across from Tessa. “I wanted to apologize for raising my voice at the hospital,” he began, his sound a bit sincere. “It was uncalled for, and I regret it.” Tessa looked up, surprised by his contrition, at some point she admitted she needed to stop acting surprise when pedro did something because there was never an explanation to his actions or what he was going to do or say next. “Thank you, Pedro. I apprecia

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   Echoes and Open Doors

AUTHORS POVIt was as though the air in the room was still, and the curtains hung loosely open like two soldiers on both sides of the window. Tessa reeled in thoughts as her conversation with Regina lingered like a scent that got stuck to her nostrils. Tessa stood by the window for a moment, watching the moonlight stretch across the backyard. Her mind was a riot of emotions—concern for Regina, frustration over Pedro, and the low churn of exhaustion that wrapped around her like a second skin. She was definitely losing her mind, and her helplessness was not helping.A part of her felt a tinge of gratitude to Dr. Rain for helping her conceal what would have shut the doors of her freedom forever, and for a moment she thought of doing the one thing she discouraged Regina from doing—abortion. She could not imagine herself permanently yoked with Pedro, and if this was the fate and cards belted out to her, she would seek redress in any way.But then another thought questioning her decisions

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   Unmasked Truths

AUTHOR'S POV The energy was different when they arrived at the house; it was something Tessa could not explain about the Lorenzo mansion.Maybe because she had not been in the house for a couple of days, for weird reasons, weird thoughts of her child running around the house crept into her mind. She shut out such thoughts as quickly as they came.As the door clicked shut behind them, it dawned on Tessa that it had been a slippery couple of months and she had not heard from Aunt Norah. It didn’t make any sense to her why Pedro had refused to let her see her aunt.It also dawned on her that if she had to rely on herself to do anything with regards to helping Aunt Norah, she would sit and watch a year ago and nothing would still happen. So she quietly accepted she needed George’s help anyway; anyhow, she just wanted out of this prison she had found herself in.The maidservants were very welcoming as Tessa, Regina, and the bodyguard walked into the familiar corridor of Lorenzo’s mansion,

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   The Decision

AUTHOR'S POVTessa still felt sore in between; her vagina still throbbed, but she was more than fine to go home. She just wanted to be anywhere else but the hospital, away from the false attention she was getting from Pedro, if not for anything but for the fact that he was the reason she was in the hospital. His presence around, enquiring about her well-being, had her feeling nauseous, and she didn’t want any of that anymore. She had been elated when Regina had informed her earlier she would be discharged that day, and it was almost evening. The late afternoon sun filtered through the hospital blinds, casting elongated shadows across the sterile room that had slowly become a cold space for the secret she held so dear to her heart. Everything smelt strong, including the scent of antiseptic lingering in the air, mingling with the faint aroma of the bouquet Pedro carried as he entered."Ready to go home?" Pedro asked, his smile not quite reaching his eyes.Tessa looked up from her bed, h

  • RELUCTANT BRIDE FOR THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE   The Confrontation

AUTHORS POVLater that evening, the air was heavy with the smell of impending rain or it was just Regina’s pregnancy heightened sense of smell kicking in. Pregnancy is such a beautiful things as chaotic as it presents itself, but Regina hated the way it brought changes to her body that she didn’t ask for. Regina stood outside Franco’s apartment with a mask on her face, her coat clutched tightly around her, heart pounding in her chest. She wondered if she had lost her mind. She also wondered if someone, somewhere, had a remote control in hand and was controlling her to do the craziest things because she could not explain how she convinced herself to get here but the strong need to do so was just as overwhelming. Her breath came in short, uneven bursts as she debated turning back. But she didn’t. She couldn’t.Not after that dream. With a resolve she barely recognised, she raised her hand and knocked on the door.Franco opened it moments later, his expression quickly shifting from co

AUTHORS POV Apart of Regina was peace that Pablo was aware and had accepted her child. It was one big hurdle out of the way and just as she sat beside Tessa, her mind racing from the vivid dream she had just experienced, she felt a strong need to talk to Franco. She was lost in thoughts she did not hear Tessa calling out to her. Tessa stirred slightly, her eyes fluttering open. “Regina? Are you okay? You look pale.” Regina forced a smile. “Just a bad dream. Nothing to worry about.” Tessa reached out, placing a comforting hand on Regina’s. “Dreams can sometimes reveal our deepest fears. Want to talk about it?” Regina hesitated, then shook her head. “Maybe later. You need your rest.” Tessa nodded, settling back into her pillows. “Alright. But remember, I’m here for you.” Regina blushed, “I know Tessa, I know” “Can I get a glass of water, I’m thirsty” Tessa said with a calm voice. “Sure” Regina responded. A part of her wished to tell Regina she was expecting a baby but it w
