"Are you sure this is wise, Brother?" Grayson sighs. Valerie, Sophia, Dylan, Jaxson, and even Theia rowed along a cerise ocean. The air rang with an eerie silence, and fog slithered across the sea in soft, concise strokes.
Grayson's words break them from the silence hanging in the atmosphere for the better half of two hours. They'd have warped across the river, but none have been to the deadly island enough times to reach it. In Jaxson's long life, he has only ever visited once.
