A soft chuckle escapes my lips as a warm hand sits on my shoulder. I don't know why I'm laughing. But I can't help myself, and I can't stop.
"Nieve..."
"I-I'm s-sorry..." I try to stifle my laughter, holding my stomach as tears threaten to fall. Happy or sad - I have no fucking idea. Either way, I can't stop.
She's gone. Theia's gone - as fate so cruelly ordained.
I laugh - because once again, they won. Those three spinsters were playing with Theia's life like it was a game to them. They played with mine, and they played with Freya's.
Theia, as the oldest sister - cursed, to only feel loneliness and death.

Well shit, its the end!Damn, I really enjoyed writing this novel. I loved the lessons its taught me and I love the person I've become through writing this book. Especially Valerie. I love who she's become. I love she's finally able to trust those around her, I love that she continues to fight no matter how much times life interferes, intent and making her stay down!I wanted a character who doesn't hide their emotions, a character who embraces them but is also burdened by them. I wanted a character who wore her heart on her sleeve no matter how dangerous it was especially in a cruel world.I think thats what was so special about her, she wore her feeling like armour and it was beatiful and dark. And it was weak, and it was strong. And it was dangerous, and it was safe.Damn, what the fuck am I doing in my feeling?! I'm getting tiery eyed over here.Comment what you loved most about the novel in general and tell me who your favourite characte
The moon has reached its peak, its crimson glow seeped through the foggy black clouds drifting across the fiery sky bringing chaos, deceit, and blood onto the world. As hellish as it looked, it's just as beautiful. Captivating even.Like most creatures on Eldora, a young girl, Valerie Carson, watched within the darkness of her dungeon. Her skin prickled with anger, a common effect on nights of the full moon. She felt her wolf growl with a desperate urge to be set free. To howl at the moon and to run with her pack, her brethren. Never has she allowed it, not only because she couldn't, but because if presented with the choice, she wouldn't.Not here. Not in this dungeon. Her striking white, almost silver, hair was damp from the rain. It floods through the small window that was too high up for her little body to reach. She flinched every time the thunder booms, and lightning cracks open the heaven
I sniff the air, tasting the different scents hovering in the area, and notice I am within pack territory. A powerful one too.I should have paid attention when I blindly barged in here, blaming myself for being caught by rogues of all nasty creatures. I guess they are better than those blood-sucking leeches. Fucking vampires are becoming a nuisance around this area.I desperately need sleep. How many days has it been already? It's dangerous to sleep out in the open on pack territory. I could risk getting caught by border guards.Does the Alpha sense my un-familiar presence? I masked my scent, an ability only I have – or so I know of.I should leave, but those rogues are waiting for me. Also, I'm fairly certain that if I go, traffickers will take the opportunity to snatch me. I'm all for fighting, but behind a cage and against my will with thousands of other bloodthirsty creatures? I’d prefer to play it safe and stay the night her
To Sophia's surprise, the bubble holding me captive broke. Water splashes around us as I land on my bare feet. Nia whines urging me to go to him and accept him. But I can't. I won't.It's a curse which runs in my family. No Carson woman has ever survived their mate. Just like my predecessors, he'll chew me up and spit me out. He'll hurt me. I know he will!I bolt. Nia whines, but I ignore her and run. My bare feet pounded into the dirt. Sticks and stones dig into me as I ran, but it doesn't bother me. That's what I do best; running. I kill, I run;I survive.A deafening roar shakes the entire forest. I didn't need to guess whom it belongs to, but I admit the sheer monstrosity behind it froze me stiff for a split second.'Take us back,'Nia's voice echoed in my mind, but I can't. I won't make the mistake of trusting my mate. It's all a façade that'll plunge me deeper in pain.Although he hasn't do
Dylan diverts my attention as Sophia traps me within a magical barrier. Now I have no choice but to play along. The Lycan King, who I now know is Jaxson Storm leads us back to his mansion – much to my displeasure.Jaxson leads us to a throne room; multiple chandeliers hang from ceiling five stories high. A golden throne stands tall. On either side attains large statues of Lycans triple the size of a normal wolf and behind the throne are three windows taking up the entire back wall presenting a perfect view of the two suns of Eldora.Regardless of all the light shining in this one room, there is still an air of darkness. I can't help to think that it resides within the Lycan King himself. Once he slew the rogue, the rest scattered like rats. If only I have that kind of effect on them."I promise I'll behave, so can someone get me out of this damn bubble?" I retort at no one in particular. Jaxson takes a seat on his throne and watches me with hi
"Are you coming?" Sophia breaks into my temporary room, as I watched the Suns of Eldora say their last goodbyes. My thoughts trail back to Jaxson. His words caught me off guard. I had nothing to say and left.'… you're going to know exactly who I am…'I didn't know what I fear more - if he turns out to be like my father or doesn't. Nevertheless, am I strong enough to fight the Lycan King, Jaxson storm? "Where to?" I don't know why I asked since there's a high possibility I'll reject whatever it is.Sophia stands beside me. She watches the suns as a smile dances across her face. "To meet the pack warriors, you are their future Queen," Sophia reveals. A shot of nervousness and despair curls around my soul."Mhmm, I have no interest in meaningless banter with the pack," I grumble. My issues aside, how does the goddess expect me to lead a pack when I'd prefer to slit my own throat instead? Sophia scoffs, my answer obviously didn't surpr
I once again find myself beside the lake. Its blue glow illuminates around me as I watch the two-spirit fish dancing smoothly in the translucent depths. One fish glows an obsidian black, just staring at it spikes my heart with unease. The other fish glows a serene purple, calming me instantly. I’ve travelled to many places, but I have never seen fish that glowed. This lake is bewitching, I feel its magic resonating with
The pain has stopped. I'm drifting in darkness from the intensity of it when a knock snatches me back to reality like a cruel game.Groaning, I reach for my dress shirt and throw it over my head before opening the door. How long was I that position?
