CHAPTER 4

The pastor’s wife’s funeral was held early in the day, leaving him alone to lead bible class in the evening, which he had scheduled at Bohdan’s request. Bohdan grieved that the pastor’s wife was slain without him feeding off of her, therefore he was now in need of fresh blood. At least once a week, he needed to eat, and today the pastor brought fresh meat to the table.

As the class was being held in the back of the church for a small number of individuals, Bohdan concealed there. A group that the pastor believed the vampire would target well. The pastor, enraged over the killing of his wife, was forced to carry out the instructions of the vampire who had killed her and left her to hang in the public square.

Bohdan heard the pastor say a closing prayer before the lesson ended, which was supposed to last for an hour. The pastor was supposed to leave one person behind so that Bohdan could kill the victim and consume their blood. Bohdan kept an eye on the doorway, waiting for the pastor to ask someone to stay. Two families, four adults, three girls, and one boy made up the mixed-gender group. Bohdan desired a female, always favoring ladies above males.

All of the bible study participants left the church’s main room and started out the main door as the audience dispersed. As time passed, Bohdan’s confusion turned to rage since the pastor had left one of the girls behind. Bohdan opened the entrance and entered the church behind the altar when the space was free. He then looked around the room in search of the pastor but was unable to locate him.

The pastor entered the room and said, “Don’t worry, I have one coming back. Bohdan questioned, “Which one?”

Pastor: “Angela,” he said. “The eldest daughter is returning home to pick up a book. I asked her to demonstrate it for me.

How long will it take, good?

She lives three miles away; you may wait while she drives back; it will take her an hour.

“It’s getting late; do you think her parents will let her go out alone at night? What if she travels back with her father? Bohdan enquired.

“I can’t help it. I did as I promised when I said I’d find you parishioners to slaughter. That is none of my business how you go about it.

A grown guy can’t be easily killed, and he will have assistance from his daughter, who will also be present.

“You don’t know that; she probably won’t come with anyone else. Before you arrived, at least, there wasn’t much crime in this area, the priest added.

It took Angela two hours to return to the church by herself. She entered the building while clutching a book, opening the main door in search of the pastor. He was reading in his office when she turned around to look for him. In an effort to avoid startling the man, she said, “Pastor.”

As the girl called out the pastor, he leapt and laughed. I apologize, Angela; I didn’t hear you enter. “I see you have the book I requested,” she said.

Angela put the book on the pastor’s desk and said, “Sure.” “I apologize for being late; I had to assist my mum with some household duties.”

That’s what a good child does, so no problem there.

Angela noticed a tall man waiting at the doorway as she turned to exit. She exhaled heavily and put a hand to her chest. She said, “Excuse me, I didn’t hear you behind me.”

Bohdan blocked Angela from leaving the room by placing a hand on either side of the doorway. He initially remained silent while watching the girl and assessing her for a meal.

Angela tried to get the stranger to talk, saying, “I don’t think we’ve met before.” The enigmatic man introduced himself as Bohdan.

Do you have any local relatives? In an effort to start a discussion, Angela asked. Bohdan answered icily, “No.

The man continued to block Angela’s exit with a hand on either side of the door while she waited for him to move away from the entryway. As soon as it started to feel awkward, the girl turned to the pastor for advice. Angela told the pastor, “I have to go,” and then turned to gaze at the outsider, expecting him to move aside. He refused. She said, “Excuse me sir, may I get past you?”

Bohdan hesitated before stepping aside so the girl could pass. Bohdan put a hand on her breast as she walked by and squeezed so forcefully that the girl recoiled in terror.

Why are you doing that? Angela enquired.

Bohdan answered, “I haven’t been with a lady in months.

“How could you touch me in such a way! And in the house of God! Angela retorted angrily. She looked to the priest for support, but he sat motionless, giving Bohdan the floor. The preacher exuded trepidation and fear.

Angela was approached by Bohdan, who reached out to grasp her by the collar of her dress. Before he could take a hold of her, she retreated. Don’t attempt to elude me, Bohdan said. “You don’t want me to be furious, and if you fight, I’ll be very angry. Do you comprehend?

Angela turned to face the pastor, who was seated at his desk in the adjacent room. Pastor, help me!” exclaimed Angela. The preacher remained silent and made no comment.

He won’t assist you, according to Bohdan. No one will assist you at this time, so you might as well follow my advice.

Do you think I’ll consent to being raped? Angela enquired.

Bohdan commanded, “Take off your clothing.” He didn’t raise his voice and was succinct and direct.

Angela answered, “I won’t. She begged the pastor, “Minister, please do something.”

With a smile, Bohdan replied, “He put this up. “Take your clothing off, and it won’t hurt as much.”

The pastor’s attitude made it clear to Angela that the stranger was correct. She was put in the path of this stranger who was now about to rape her in the church by the person she relied on for direction and comfort. She considered running out the front door, but she felt she had little chance of escape the stranger’s hands. She lifted her dress up over her head and then let go of it, dropping it to the ground. Then, in front of the foreigner and the pastor, she undressed and stood there. The pastor, who was now facing away, was unable to see what was going on. Angela wished the minister a joyful life.
