Chapter 17 Lets Exchange the soul
Note: This chapter uses conversational style narration.
The next morning Devina entered the kitchen yawning. She hasn’t woken up fully. She was furious to found no one in the kitchen. She hurriedly went to Alice’s room and banged on the door. Alice who has slept late last night opened the door with her eyes close.
As she opened the door she was shocked to see Devina who was fuming with anger. Devina looked at Alice angrily and said “ Alice why are you not in the kitchen. Sophie will get late for school”
“I-I am sorry Aunt De…”
“Don’t waste the time here with your fake apology. Go to the kitchen and make breakfast and pack Sophie’s lunch”
“Yes”.
Alice bowed her head and headed towards the kitchen. Devina then walked upstairs and knocked on Sophie’s room door. After 3-4 knocks Sophie opened the door.
“Sophie, you are not ready yet? You will get late for school. Hurry up.” Devina cried

Sandra reached the cave at the exact time. Lahkesis, Atropos, and Clotho are sitting surrounding a square box. Sandra asked, “What is this box for?” Atropos replied “We will have to place the ring in the middle and we will read some verses which will connect the ring to its owner. The ring will fly and take us to the ring owner.” Sandra “Ok and why do you have a headband placed next to it. If I am not mistaken it is Alice’s headband" Atropos got shocked with sudden question. She tried answering but fumbles. Lahkesis then reverted “This is to check if Alice is the owner of the ring. We needed Alice’s belonging so we are using this headband.’ “Why do I sense something fishy. You better not be playing games with me.” Sandra said in an evil tone “Witch do you want us to perform ritual or not?” Lahkesis said in an annoyed tone. Sandra suddenly changed her tone and said "I was joking. Let us start the ritual.”
