HAYDON
Should I call her? That was the only thing going through my mind. I didn't have her number, but I was sure someone I knew did. Katerina had told me on Wednesday that we could be friends and today was Friday- fight day. I never got to speak to her a lot yesterday or today because we were busy with the last section of work. The only thing we said to each other was hi and bye... Not that I was complaining. I should be grateful that I got to hear her voice. It's hard to imagine I tried to make her hate and ignore me. Even though that may still be an option... I just couldn't. I needed to be near her... Always. I had a feeling that she was actually my-
Suddenly my phone rang and deep inside I was hoping that it would miraculously be Katerina- even though I doubted that she had my number. I picked up the touch screen phone and read the caller ID...but it was only Evangeline. Slowly I dragged my finger from
KATERINABlood. Blood everywhere. I was so badly beaten that I could hardly even stand up. I wasn't angry though. Haydon was too good of a fighter for me and he wasn't even angry or in a state of lost control yet and I could see that he wasn't even trying to hurt me at all. He was holding back and being his own kind if 'gentle' on me. But his version of gentle was still dangerous. He was a lion and I was a tiny mouse compared to him.I bent myself over and started coughing up blood onto the white ring and then slowly I looked up to see Haydon with a regretful face and sadness written all over it. But why? Why did he look so hurt? I was bleeding not him. I was the one hurt, so why did he look like I was stabbing him with each limp, cough and wince. My head throbb
KATERINA"Where are we going to Haydon?" I asked as we drove to who-knows-where?Haydon and I walked to Jeremy's house and borrowed Luke's car. By walked I mean that Haydon forcefully put me on his back and ran to Jeremy's house because someone- not naming names- broke a few of my bones."Katerina, can you be patient? Why don't you pass me one of Luke's shirts on the back seat?”I looked at Haydon and realised the he was still not wearing a shirt so there were tiny blood droplets decorating his bear skin. I leaned over to the back seat and grabbed a black shirt then handed it to him and to my disappointment, as we reached the traffic light, he put it over himself, hiding his bare skin.
KATERINA"Hello?" I called out awkwardly as I knocked on the door. My palms were all sweaty from nerves. Why did I think of this again? Oh yes because I had no other choice! The door opened and light flooded onto the steps of the porch."Katerina?" I looked up to see a very confused looking Brian. Here goes nothing. "Um is Haydon here?" I asked looking at my hands and then back at his eyes. Soon a mischievous look appeared on his face. "Yes, your boyfriend is here."Immediately a dark blush appeared on my face.
KATERINA"Hey, did you guys hear about the epic party at Evangeline's house?" It was Monday and the news had spread about the party that was so epic that no one could remember it, well no one except Haydon and me. It was as though we were simply just ghosts who snuck in and out. I was on my way to pack my bags for my next few classes, when I was stopped by Haydon who looked beyond pissed off. His usually hazel eyes were starting to form red droplets like food colouring being dropped into a bowl of chocolate cake batter, until both his eyes were the shade of blood. "What's wrong Haydon?" I asked genuinely concerned, and also, trying to tell him that there were people around who could possibly notice his changing e
KATERINA"Would you hurry it up in there?" Haydon yelled from my room as I tied my shoelaces in the bathroom. "Can you calm down; I'm almost done Haydon!" I yelled back. Haydon had been taking me to school for the past week and few days. He would wake me up really early in the morning- because apparently, I took one million years to get done- and then walk me to school. I walked out of the bathroom in my black crop top and white high waisted jeans. "I'm done!" I Said. "Fina- wow. You look...wow." he said looking me up and down with his red eyes. "I knew the top was too short. I'll go change it." I said but just as I was about to turn towards the cupboard
KATERINACOLD. I could only feel coolness as I walked toward the body on the edge of the forest. The same forest where Jeremy had almost tried to kill me. The same forest which Haydon and I snuck through every Friday to fight at the arena. But this time the air here was cold and tense. Goosebumps started to form on my icy, dry skin. My feet were sore and bare and bleeding from the small stones and dry sand on the ground. The body that was there was unmoving, and I couldn't make out who it was because of the darkness surrounding me. I don't know what it was, but I was being drawn to that lonely body on the ground. "Hello...Who are you?" I asked as if the body would miraculously wake up and a
HAYDONIt's her! That's all I could think about since I left her house. Death had just confirmed something that I had been hoping for and at the same time dreading. She was the girl. The one who could bring me to my knees...The only one. And now it wouldn't be long until she realised it herself, then I could tell her everything- the truth, the lies, the prophecy and about my past. All I had to do was just wait a little while longer for her to figure out who the girl I had feelings for was, and then would come the hard part. KATERINA"Wake up wake up! Please can you wake up Dylan!" I yelled outside of Dylan's room, banging his door. Benjamin ca
KATERINA"Do I look fine?" I asked Jas.It was Friday afternoon and Haydon invited me out to hang. The whole day it was killing me not to tell him my feelings, but tonight was my chance. "Yep!" She said applying lip gloss to my lips. My hair was in a beautiful bun with pieces of hair framing my face. I wore a mid-thigh black and navy-blue dress which was tight around my chest and waist but flowed and loosened the rest of the way. My tattoo was on full display. "Thanks for helping me get ready Jas." I said smiling. "No problem. And I will also talk to Dyl about this. I know how to get on his good side. And besides, he told you already that he's cool with it, so don't worry."
