Adele’s POV

The moment Angel mentioned Noah's real name my body reacted before my brain could, like an idiot–my head whipped up in a heart beat.

Of all the times to lose control-this was the worst one, most especially in front of a man like Angel, who pays attention to the tiniest of details.

Brilliant, Adele. Real damn brilliant.

I might as well as written ‘guilty’ on my forehead with red bold ink

I breath in slowly.

“What does this have to do with me?” I asked, thankfully able to keep my voice neutral, even though a thousand terrified knots were in my stomach.

He leaned back slightly, studying my every move like a predator deciding whether to jump in and eat his prey, or play with it a little longer.

“That's what I'm wondering too,” he said calmly. “But one thing’s certain…” he paused, and looked me dead in the eye. “You're hiding something, Milaya.”

Milaya. I don't know what that means, but it brought back memories of how my traitorous body reacted, like one who was touch deprived

ANGEL'S POVAdele grabbed onto my jawline as she kissed my lips vigorously. For a moment I could have assumed there was an alter ego in her, but I was wrong. I gaze, her breath and her body language said otherwise, it was Adele, her touch fell warmly on my skin and she grazed through my arms with her fingers, something I had longed for for eternity. We moved on slowly until Adele was now resting on the wall. I must have lost track of time and I guess she did also considering we only paused for a moment to catch our breath. I looked right at her, heaving lightly at the same pace as she did and then I held onto her head and gently pushed it closer to my lips, bending over so she wouldn't need to stress. I couldn't get enough of her and it seemed like she couldn't either, the kiss went on until I realized I no longer could control myself as I struggled with my hands so as not to take her shirts off. She paused in her track the moment she felt my fingers grazed through her chest.“I'm…..

  • Vengeance Brought Me To His Bed    Chapter 119

ADELE'S POVI couldn't understand why in my bid to convince Denver otherwise regarding Angel, I happened to be fueling all of his anger and hatred, or maybe there was something else to it. I watched him fume uncontrollably as he stared right at me. I didn't know if the right thing to do was leave and return when he was sober or hang around and spit the truth into his face anyways. Denver was a great guy and the last thing I wanted was for him to harbor so much hate within him, it certainly would change him into something else. I heaved out in defeat knowing none of this actually mattered right now, maybe I needed to return when he was in a better mood.“You know what?” I said as I got up on my feet, living him to his thoughts. I walked over to the chair where my bag laid and picked it up as I spoke.

  • Vengeance Brought Me To His Bed    Chapter 118

DENVER'S POVI stormed out of the Cafe with a renewed anger sipping down through my veins, I couldn't control myself, not in there, and not out here either. I walked on for as long as I could remember not bothering to call on a cab, I didn't know where I was headed, but certainly not home and most definitely not to Adele's. My car was parked out some miles away from Adele studio but I never thought towards going down to get it. I found a bar on my way and paused staring right into it as I tried my best to walk away. It was something I wasn't proud of and it had to be the drinking habit I developed once I lost Sarah. I made sure Emily never came around me when I was drunk, but it got to a point where she dragged me into the house one evening after I slept on the front porch. I swore never to take a sip of alcohol ever since then, but right now I couldn't hold myself back. I dashed into the building scanning through the empty seats and tables in search of a person and then I finally fou

  • Vengeance Brought Me To His Bed    Chapter 117

ANGEL'S POVI scoffed lightly at my findings, Denver still thought of me like the villain and it all seemed like he was gonna go up to any level just to ruin me and the clan. The look on his eyes certainly were merciless, although I knew he got know chance against me, I still felt pity for him as I wondered what he must have gone through all this years to come up with the conclusion that revenge was what he needed to set himself free, how long might he have been on this. I heaved lightly as I picked up my mug and took a sip of my coffee, this certainly would go on longer than I had anticipated.“And what made you think I'm here for that?” I asked and Denver paused for a moment looking up at me. He didn't say a word for a long moment and I could assume he was coming up with some logical explanation to this all.

  • Vengeance Brought Me To His Bed    Chapter 116

ANGEL'S POV I felt utterly restless from the moment Joe dropped those paper works on my desk. Hearing him speak and going through it showed he really had done an intense research and there was no room for doubting. It certainly was all fact. I stared into the papers for a long while, I specifically had my eyes on a family portrait, one of a happy looking couple with their little girl in the middle. One never would have assumed this would come down to a tragic end because of some mistake. I looked at the familiar looking face, the face of the man I had loathed for quite a while now and I couldn't help but feel a bit of guilt, the only person I felt indebted to at some point in my reign. We had searched briefly for the family of the deceased, but it seemed like they vanished into thin air, but now here they were, right in front of me. I ordered Joe to get him to meet me first thing the following morning, although I doubted he would be willing to, I had to see him at all costs. Once it

  • Vengeance Brought Me To His Bed    Chapter 115

ERIC'S POVI was glad I hadn't left Dragovich's home when Yuri stormed into the clinic. I could tell from the look of his face and most importantly his eyes, that he was just off from a fierce argument or maybe a fight with someone within the four walls of the mansion. I had just gotten back from my meeting with Sergio Moretti where I had told him about the presence of a large number of Dragovich's extended family. He didn't seem so walked up about it and I guess I also shouldn't. He suggested it could be because of anything but it would be in our favor if they were here for some kind of leadership restructuring. I knew I needed to know more and maybe speak less. No way Yuri would give out relevant information to me if he sensed I was being nosey. I stood at a corner of the room, my head bowed to the ground as Yuri paced on and on in the room he then rested into a chair in exhaustion. He seemed lost in thought and I didn't know if the appropriate thing to do was to stand still or lea
