CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POV
Quite a lot of hours were spent listening to Sarina’s explanation about the existence of this realm and everything else that I needed to be aware of. As much as possible, I really didn’t want to believe what Sarina mentioned earlier. But now that I am stuck in a dim forest after letting my feet take me anywhere they desire, I have no choice but to believe her. Even from afar, I caught a glimpse of the body shape of a werewolf that seemed to be feasting on a person or an animal. It might even be of the same kind. I immediately covered my mouth with both of my hands and attempted to step backwards to start dashing out of the woods, but my feet were completely frozen, and there was nowhere else that I could possibly go at this point. "Somebody, please help me…" I begged within the depths of my mind and soul, knowing that no one would be able to hear me. Even so, I had a faint hope that I’d be saved. My shoulders were continuously raised as I was literally gasping for air. The wolf roared, which echoed throughout the entire place. There were crows that rampaged out from the branches of those trees and flew away together, heading over to the direction where the wolf was. It’s like they were able to communicate with one another with just a simple roar. My conscience has been telling me to get out of this place right away, but my body betrayed me. I instantly lost focus on the crows, and the next second that I blinked, all of it was coming at me. "A-ah!" I blocked those with my arms as I crouched in my position. "Who are you?" An unfamiliar voice asked, which is most probably a man based on the tone of his voice. I didn’t have time to answer. I simply tilted my head upwards to glance at him, but he was already gripping my cheeks with just his left hand. Our faces were only a few centimeters apart from one another; I could even feel his cold breath touching the tip of my nose. "Don’t make me repeat my question." He taunted me with his deadly gaze. "C-Celestina Villarama…" I unconsciously told him my name. He let go of my cheeks as harshly as he could. I almost had my head banging on the ground, but fortunately I was able to control the weight of my body. "There’s no one named Celestina among my pack. Who sent you here?" "I-I wasn’t sent by anyone. I just arrived in this realm a few hours ago," I replied with pure honesty. I even raised my right hand just to show my sincerity. It wasn’t difficult to notice the change in his facial expression because of his unnatural paleness. It was as if he’ were dehydrated. "A-are you thirsty..?" I bit my lower lip in utter humiliation of myself. A smirk appeared on his lips. "You’re quite an amusing woman," he commented. Just like the clock ticking its hand, he stepped forth in a heartbeat. He knelt on one knee as he stepped one foot on the ground. Raising my face by holding my chin, he stopped moving closer when our lips were a millimeter apart. Despite that, I was able to get a grasp of his tongue as he playfully wet his lips. I couldn’t maintain my eye contact with him; he was way too daring, and I felt like my bones were about to collapse if I stared any longer. "Look at me, Celeste." He ordered me with a nickname. His words were absolute. I couldn’t defy him. He was beyond superior to me, and there wasn’t anything that I could do to get out of this situation. "Didn’t you know that I can seriously drink your blood until its last drop?" he inquired. Before I could even shake my head in response, he was able to secure my lips. On the spur of the moment, my eyes widened due to shock as he immediately moved away from me. The man wiped his lips, and I noticed how his forehead was filled with sweat. "W-what’s wrong?" He pointed at my face, though I have no idea specifically which part of my face he was trying to point out. "That necklace… It couldn’t be…" he mumbled. I grabbed the golden necklace, which I got from the moon goddess herself. "Do you…" I was about to ask him another query, but he was already nowhere in sight. That man didn’t even bother to introduce himself to me. He freaking stole my first kiss, and now I don’t even know where I should go to search for him. The darkness of my surroundings wasn’t enough to hide his emotion. I know for sure that there was a hint of rage and sadness hidden in his eyes. There wasn’t any need for him to explain himself; I could read his expression just like an open book. I glanced over at the golden necklace. "I should head back to the castle and ask Sarina about this." It was supposed to be my plan, but I failed once more. There were no castles, nor was there any evidence left that the kingdom of Sarina existed. I frowned in confusion as I clenched both of my fists. I tried to call Sarina out from the golden necklace, but it was no use. "Excuse me." A child approached me. "You’re being summoned by the beta of the Crimson Moon Pack, and I was ordered to look for you. You’re Miss Celestina Villarama, right?" I nodded. "Yes, you’re correct. But, I don’t remember having a scheduled appointment with the beta of your pack. I don’t even know who you are; why should I trust a child?" "Even as a child, I knew much better than the rest of the pack wolves. You’re not from this realm; that’s the only thing that I can give as a reason for you to trust me." I was completely speechless. I haven’t even told anyone yet that I wasn’t really born in this place.CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI should've believed my guts from the start. And if I did, then Ice wouldn't have had to act as a sacrifice for us to survive and win against the Moon Goddess. I never imagined that he could've been this risky, since I knew him as the type of person who values his own life more than anyone else's."Ice!" I yelled out his name, trying to reach out to him, but he was already too far away from me. "Damn it, Ace! Did the two of you plan this beforehand? Was this why you prevented him from telling me whatever it was?" I questioned him out of frustration, even though I already knew the answer to it.Ace couldn't bear to look me in the eye because of the guilt that was surging in his mind. "I'm sorry. This was the only way for us to live and get through this, Celestina. I already asked him a lot of times to think this over, but Ice insisted that he should be the sacrifice if it comes down to it," he explained. He kept on playing with his fingers while his head was b
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVI screamed to stop the Moon Goddess from erasing the portal's existence. I've been desperately waiting for it to show itself for years, and now that I finally have the chance to get back to my world, I won't let Sarina ruin my dream."Don't do it, Celestina. Do you know what will happen to you if you kill Sarina?" Siege questioned me. His voice was still filled with authority, but there was also a hint of concern in it. "You're going to end up with the same fate as her; you'll die the very second that she dies. That's why there still wasn't anyone who dared to take her life, since it's the same as killing themselves," he explained.Sarina chuckled upon hearing the alpha's explanation. "If you don't want her to take my life, would you do the honor of killing me?" she asked out of pure curiosity.I glanced at Siege, waiting for what his response would be, but his mouth remained shut for minutes. That silence was enough for me to confirm that he's not prepared t
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVAt first glance, I didn't think that Sarina would descend at this kind of time when a lot of people were still awake. And as expected, all of those around us had their eyes focused on the Moon Goddess. They probably haven't seen them from such a close distance before, which wasn't the case for me.I sensed Stella holding my fingertips, and even if it was just that, I could still feel how strongly she was shaking. It might have been because of the dominant presence of Sarina, or maybe she was just afraid that she might get punished for desiring to take my spot."I came here in case you forgot about the portal, Celestina Villarama." Sarina broke the silence between us, and my eyes widened, realizing that I only thought of the upcoming judgment day and not the next summons of the portal. "In less than a few minutes, the portal is going to show itself in the place where you saw it together with them," she added. The Moon Goddess didn't bother to take a few steps
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe woman that all of us didn't want to see this duel barged into the beta's room, and right when I thought that she would yell and demand that they stop, she chose to stand by with such a brazen expression on her face. "Stella," I whispered my sister's name, and she didn't even bother to glance at me—not until she was finally taken aback and her consciousness seemed to have returned to reality."Celestina, what's happening here?" Stella asked me, slowly approaching me as she looked twice at the Wongs siblings, who were still rumbling on one another. "Why are they fighting in their wolf forms? I know that they're supposed to have their regular training sessions, but they never shifted before because of training," she added. The way that Stella sounded genuinely curious about the scenario she stepped into made me feel like she hated to see them in a duel too."If I tell you that I'm the reason why they're having a duel right now, will you believe and forgive m
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVThe way that Kris never spoke right after he saw the mark on his brother's neck made me feel a little bit guilty. I know that I shouldn't be feeling this way since he's not really my mate to begin with, but the way that I got his hopes up that I'd be choosing him and sticking together with him in his new pack that he planned to build was just disappointing.I nudged Siege's arm with my elbow as we were heading inside the Crimson Moon Pack's mansion. He was beside me, and Kris was the one taking the lead."What's wrong with Kris?" I asked, my voice almost coming out like a whisper. "I haven't seen him get this furious before," I added, referring to how Kris wasn't talking to us at all.Siege shrugged his shoulders, pouting. "He's probably hurt that you've got your eyes on me now, unlike before, when he still stood a chance against me," he answered, feeling proud of himself that he was finally able to claim me from his brother. We crossed through the lobby, hea
CELESTINA VILLARAMA'S POVFor the entire night yesterday, I wasn't able to sleep, not even for a minute or two. We had to rest at the same place where Siege killed the Silver Moon Pack's alpha and beta, so it was absolutely uncomfortable for me. Their scent was infuriating to my nose, and it just kept getting stinkier every minute that passed by.Siege wanted to dispose of their bodies in a way that no one would be able to find their corpses, but he had no idea how to do so.I suggested setting their bodies on fire, but it would still gather the pack members' attention, so he made up his mind that he would just make an official announcement that he killed the both of them and that they were the first ones to challenge him to a duel.As their rules were originally set, once someone challenged the other party into a duel, either one of the two had to die, no matter who it was. And now that Siege has done it, he will definitely be the strongest wolf in the whole Dark Valley."Are you goi
