Hatred have blinded his heart

The sun shone brightly through the window as the day began. Every morning marks the beginning of a new chapter in one's life. Ibrahim sipped his coffee while staring at his tablet screen. He paid close attention to every detail that was written down. He is a cautious individual who does not want to make any careless mistakes. He was scrolling down the I-pad when he heard the door being abruptly open, and he nearly choked. He was about to erupt in rage because he despises it when someone disrupts his concentration. However, his rage subsided as he noticed the person who barged into his office was none other than his best friend, Alan Gray. The only person he had put his faith upon.

Alan exhaled sharply and looked helplessly at Ibrahim. "Are you planning a wedding? What happened? Are you crazy?" asked Alan, looking at the nonchalant man.

Ibrahim is still engrossed in his tablet screen, oblivious to Alan's groans. Is there anyone who can take control of his life? No one.

Alan became irritated because Ibrahim was clearly ignoring him. He walked up to Ibrahim's desk and grabbed his tablet. That took his attention finally!

"Hey!" Ibrahim scowled at his best friend. Alan may be the only one who would have dare to do so because they had been best friends since childhood and know each other like the back of their hands. He'd be six feet under the ground if someone else did this stunt. "Give it back!" Ibrahim yelled.

"Then talk!" Alan inquired, but did not return his tablet.

Ibrahim rolled his eyes, clearly annoyed. "What does it matter if I'm getting married?" he asked calmly.

Alan sat on the couch and placed Ibrahim's tablet on the table. "Don't try to fool me, Ibrahim. I'm sure you have a reason for all of this. Isn't this just a play? You're not going to marry in real life?" asked Alan.

Ibrahim rose from his chair and sat down next to Alan on the couch. "Yes. I have a reason, but I'm going to marry her for real." He stated as if he was genuine with his words. Alan shook his head, puzzled. "Ibrahim! That girl is only 26 years old. There are a lot of celebrities and heiresses lining up for you. How could you fall in love with such a regular girl?"

Ibrahim couldn't stop laughing. Love? What exactly is love? When was the last time he heard this word? "What did you just say, Alan? Fall in love? With whom, her? I don't do stupid things for your information; my prey is Paul Rae. His daughter will merely help me pave the way to catch up with him." said Ibrahim.

"What are your plans?" Alan cannot believe what he is hearing right now. This man, whom he has called his best friend for almost his entire life, is simply too dangerous. "Even if you despise her father, his daughter is innocent; how could you play it with marriage?"

"I could send people right away to kill his entire family, but I won't. I'm not going to get my hands dirty for them. I've got a plan to put him and his associates behind bars." Ibrahim responded forcefully. He is certain of his decision. He has been waiting for this opportunity for many years and will not let it pass him by.

Alan has lost his ability to communicate with Ibrahim. He is a person with a strong mental attitude. He's not going to change his mind once he's made up his mind. "Do you really don’t want to think about it again?"

Ibrahim's face darkened. "No. I've been planning this for months, long before I met with Paul Rae about marrying his daughter. There is no going back."

Alan is perplexed for a while. "How long ago? What exactly do you mean?"

Ibrahim smirked as he reflected on how he could have duped Paul's Rae company into a total disaster. "Remember how I told you to look for investment brokers?"

Alan simply nodded. "I did, but it was a year ago. I assumed you were intelligent enough to manage your stock without the assistance of a broker."

"It was the start of the game." Ibrahim replied with a smile.

Alan widened his eyes and fixed his gaze on Ibrahim. "No way!"

Ibrahim chuckled with delight. "The broker and I reached an agreement. If he can persuade Paul to make a large investment, I'll pay him a commission and let him manage some of my equities and bonds transactions. Isn't this a great deal? I get exactly what I want. He earns extra money and has a job."

Alan exhaled a sigh. This far exceeded his expectations. "In the end, Paul Rae will lose nearly his entire fortune. Am I correct?" asked Alan.

Ibrahim smiled as he looked at his best friend's smartness. "Yes. He is a greedy businessman who doesn't know how to plan, so that when the stock price rises, he places his company's emergency fund there. I'm sure he's in his office right now, pondering what he should do to keep his company from being liquidated, and I was relieved to learn that he's selling his company's shares to raise funds. I'm curious if he's considering raising funds through crowdfunding."

"You act as if you're unaware of the situation and approach him as an investor. Is that the setting?" Alan inquired once more. Trying to figure out what this person is up to.

Ibrahim gave a nod. "Yes. When my secretary informed them that I was going to buy their shares, he thought that heaven had answered his prayer. He'll have no idea how well this scenario has been planned. When I buy his shares, I will become the majority shareholder in his company, and he will be under my control. Except for me, no one is interested in their share. My only condition, however, is that I marry their daughter."

Alan is still perplexed by what Ibrahim is planning. Despite his intelligence, he is opposed to marrying someone else's daughter in order to exact his revenge. "You are already the largest shareholder. What has this got to do with his daughter? His daughter will be the victim of your revenge!"

Ibrahim's head shook. "Being a major shareholder in his small company is insufficient, Alan. More bullets are required to attack him and his comrades. As I previously stated, his daughter will simply be a means for me to obtain what I desired from him." He is so cruel.

"Then what is your justification for marrying his daughter? If he just agreed to that, it's impossible. He's not going to sell his daughter to you like that, is he?" Alan inquired, bewildered.

Ibrahim laughed once more. "I just said that my late foster father left a testament stating that he will pass down all of his assets, property, and wealth to me, with the only condition that I marry someone. It's unfortunate that Paul simply assumed this without realizing that my foster father had left all of his wealth to me while he was still alive."

Alan is still taken aback by their talk. This man is both intelligent and dangerous. He had no right to drag an innocent girl into his ridiculous game. He is, without a doubt, a heartless person. Hatred and grudges have blinded his heart. Alan does not want to interfere with his game, but he does not like the idea of marriage. Throughout his vengeance journey, he will only cause harm to innocent people, and will that girl be, okay?
