"Salutations, Zen."

The Alpha of the Phantomcrescent pack shifted his head sideways to look at his uninvited visitor. With a goofy grin on his face, Hector Dreyar inched closer beside his friend and gave him a few pats in the back. Riftan shoved his hand away before returning to his office.

"What do you need?" he bellowed.

"You're too harsh. I just wanted to congratulate you for the mission well done."

"You should say that to Vermillion, not me."

Dreyar shrugged. "Come on now, why reject me like this? I've come far to tell you many news."

"Quit idling and spit it out." Riftan caressed his forehead, seemingly stressed.

"Are you alright?" Dreyar asked, worried.

"It's nothing." Riftan ignored his concern and proceeded to write. "What do you have to say?"

"It can wait. I'm looking forward to congratulating Miss Vermillion myself. Where is she?"

"She is not here, so get lost."
